Chronicles of Hypocrisy #6

Chronicles of Hypocrisy #5 has at least one odd duck a few more cases of Catholic clergy sexual abuse.

Voodoo priest Brogenet Cinor, 48, was arrested for raping an 11-year-old girl. Cinor attempted to cleanse the evil that lived inside the girl. The police are looking for more victims. Cinor ran his business out of Sunrise, Fl.

Father Francisco Javier García Rodríguez was arrested in Mexico for sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl. There were two alleged attacks while the priest was an overnight guest at the girls house. The arrest took place in the community of El Chante, in Autlán, Mexico.

Bishop Gonzalo Galván Castillo of Autlán resigned in disgraceover allegations that covered up child molestation allegations against Father Horacio López. Pope Francis accepted the resignation. López is the second priest to be arrested in Autlán for molesting children.

Father Christopher Howarth is on trail in the UK for preying on two young boys for his own sexual gratification. Howarth paid the boys with cash, games and mobile phone contracts.

Father Denis Heames was suspended for alleged boundary violations. There are no criminal charges at this time. Heames was a pastor working in the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw for the Central Michigan University’s St. Mary’s University Parish.

Father Colman McGrath, 76, pleaded guilty to three charges of indecent assault for crimes that occurred in the 1970s. He will not serve jail time. McGrath abused boys he was tutoring at a chapel in Langside, Glasgow.

The Society of Jesus settled a sexual abuse claim involving Father Donald O’Shaughnessy (1923 - 2013) who was a Jesuit priest in the Chicago area. The Society of Jesus paid $950k to settle the case. It’s second settlement for abuse involving O’Shaughnessy.

Chronicles of Hypocrisy #5

A few weeks ago I old a friend that I was behind on posting stories of hypocrisy. Five posts and 42 pastor later and I’m just now catching up.

Pastor Raymond Paul Buhrow, 64, charged with indecent assault, unlawful contract with a minor and corruption of a minor. The victims were 14 and 16 years old girls. Burrow was the pastor at Calvary Temple Holiness Church of Carlisle, Pa.

The good pastor got confused about the meaning of the great gospel song "He Touched Me!”No doubt this will add fuel to the anti-Christian movement, and the New-Age Order of completely destroying America, and rewriting its history to fit the immorality sweeping the nation.

Youth pastor Jeremy Mitchell was charged for having an inappropriate relationship with a young girl. Mitchell worked for Eastview Christian Church, Martinsville, Ind.

“He came and told us the situation and resigned.  We prayed for him and then notified the proper authorities and things have taken their course,” said Rick Miller, senior minister at Eastview Christian Church.

Pastor Venije Singkoh, 70, charged with three counts of child molestation has pleaded down to a misdemeanor count of false imprisonment. He was accused on kissing a 9-year-old girl while she sat on his lap. Singkoh practices his faith from his home in Daily City Ca. He does not have to register as a sex offender.

Bishop Alfred Drake stands accused of illegally selling his church for a fraction of its market value. Drake took $50k fee and a promise of a free apartment for the deal. The church is asking a judge to void the sale. Drake was defrocked by this church, The Holy Cross African Orthodox Church in Harlem, NY.

Rev. Jeremiah N. Murasso has been suspended because of accusations that he sexually abused a child. Criminal charges have not been filed. Morass was pastor at Blessed Sacrament and the Shrine of St. Anne in Waterbury, CT.

Pastor James Osborne and his wife Joyce Osborne, pleaded guilty to larceny for stealing $70k from Ghent Bible Baptist church in Ghent, Ny. The face seven years in prison.

Pastor Larry McKinley Clark want to move his child molestation trail out of Rockbridge County because his case has received too much publicity. Clark has already been convicted of sexual assault in another case and will serve 35 years in prison. Plus, there is another case with additional child molestation charges involving a 14 year old boy. Clark was the pastor at Pentecostal Outreach Church in Buena Vista, VA.

Youth pastor Joshua Earls sentenced

Baptist youth pastor Joshua Earls, profiled here, was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for receiving child pornography.

The backstory:

In April 2013, Jane Doe disclosed the nature of her relationship with Earls to the Garland Police Department. On April 9, 2013, law enforcement executed a search of Earl's residence and seized several computers. An examination of those computers resulted in identifying more than 600 images of child pornography, including images of Jane Doe.
Earls admitted that he exchanged nude pictures and videos with Jane Doe and possessed videos of her engaging in sexually explicit conduct, at his request. A forensic examination of Earls' cell phone revealed text messaging between Earls and Jane Doe, in which he solicits, encourages and persuades her to produce pornographic images of herself and send them to him.

This was the work of a Baptist youth pastor. The man is nauseating. The culture that produces these predators is a problem. What I learned recently is people like Earls have a hard time holding on to their teeth and their junk when doing time in Federal prison. Earls is in for a long and hard 12 years.

Baptist pastor James Burton convicted

Pastor James Burton, profiled here, was convicted of molesting a young girl while he was the pastor at Greater Faith Baptist Church.

The Allen County jury reached the guilty verdicts Thursday night against 51-year-old James Burton on two counts of felony child molesting. The Journal Gazette reports jurors acquitted Burton of two less-serious molesting charges.

Prosecutors charged Burton molested the now-10-year-old girl while she was a foster child in his care from 2009 until early 2012. He was pastor of Greater Faith Baptist Church when he was arrested last year.

Pastor Patrick Marini guilty

Pastor Patrick Marini, profiled here, was found guilty of attempting to lure a 12-year-old boy out of a public library for sex. He offered the boy new shoes. What a jackass.

Patrick Marini, 71, was charged after an incident at the Abbotsford Public Library on George Ferguson Way on June 25, 2013.

The boy had been dropped off at the library by his mother, and was sitting on a couch in the children’s section reading comic books when he was approached by Marini.

The boy said Marini told him his shoes looked worn, and repeatedly invited him to go with him to buy a new pair.

Source: Former Abbotsford Pastor convicted of trying to lure 12=year-old boy by Cheryl Chan

The boy in this case did all the right things. Pastor Marini never had a chance.

Marini is a sex offender and is under an order not to have contact with anyone under the age of 16. I’m thinking this guy needs to spend the rest of his miserable life behind bars. He’s not going to stop going after our children.

Pastor Clarence Taylor Convicted

Pastor Clarence Taylor, profiled here, was found guilty on all counts today. His bail was revoked and rest to $100k. The conviction was reported by a witness to the trail. The conviction was not covered in the press.

Taylor used Facebook and text messages to solicit sex from a 15-year-old boy, along with sending a nude photo to the boy. He worked at the Faith Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in Lancaster, Pa.

Thanks to my tipsters for this update!

Pastor Joseph Angel Olvera sentenced

Pastor Joseph Angel Olvera of Lifeline Ministries in Fullerton was found guilty of sexually abusing an 18-year-old woman who attended his church.

Joseph Angel Olvera, 55, of Fullerton was found guilty of two misdemeanor counts of touching an intimate part of another person.

Olvera formerly worked as a pastor at Lifeline Ministries, 552 E. Patterson Way, officials said. Prosecutors said that about 9 a.m. Aug. 22, 2012, Olvera approached the bed of the woman, who was living in the church, to wake her up for work.

Olvera rubbed her hand and arm, then her neck and back, and put his hand down her shirt, according to a District Attorney’s Office news release.

Olvera will serve four months in jail and three years probation.

The crimes occurred in 2012. Pastor Olvera was originally arrested in October of 2013.

Pastor Anthony Thibodeaux gulity

Former Baptist pastor Anthony Lynn Thibodeaux, profiled here, was convicted of child sexual assault. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Thibodeaux had served as the pastor of Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church right up until he started his prison sentence. His wife still thinks her husband is innocent. Her incoherent reasoning follows:
"Nobody asked if anybody saw him that night nobody asked if anybody knew where he was," Alicia Thibodeaux said. "Any neighbors, anybody. Was he home or where he was? I just felt they talked to one side."
Enjoy your rehabilitation Pastor Thibodeaux. His victim was 15.

Convictions 1.1

The following list is a collection of clergy convictions from the previous week or convictions that I have missed. Here we go.

I’m closing out an old case with this first entry: Pastor Charles Michael Abdelahad, profiled here, was convicted of physically assaulting a female parishioner. His followers had been sure he had done nothing wrong. It turns out he likes to kick and bite the women he was trying to help. To quote one apologist for this scumbag:

Are you joking me?
You don't even know this man! And the articles ALL fail to talk about the 'victim' in this case and how she is crazy. She has been hospitalized many times for mental illnesses, her kids were taken away from her because she was deemed unfit to live with them, and she has accused her ex-husband AND husband of rape before.
I'm pretty sure the victim here is not the woman at all, but the priest being accused of all of this!

I hate it when Christians blame the victim. Especially where there is clear evidence of abuse. This victim in this case deserves better.

Youth pastor Ronald Asplund will die in prison after being convicted of molesting two young boys. His sentence was 11 years and four months to life in prison. Considering his doctor gives him one to three years to live, it is a fair bet that we will never see this pedophile pastor again.

Msgr Willam Lynn was sentenced to three to six years in prison for his part in covering up the Catholic clergy sexual abuse scandal in Philadelphia. Lynn was shuffling priests around to hide abuse. He was convicted of endangering the welfare of a child.

Pastor Kenneth L. Miller was convicted for aiding and abetting the flight of Lisa A. Miller and her daughter Isabelle Miller-Jenkins in 2009. Miller thought he was doing the right thing by helping a woman flee a lesbian child custody dispute. He was wrong. He faces up to three years in prison. I hope he serves his full sentence.

That’s it for this week. If you know of a conviction and would like to help, please post about in the comments or send me an email.

Pastor Tommy Shelton convicted

Pastor Tommy R. Shelton Jr. submitted an Alford plea in his child molestation case. Shelton was accused of molesting two boys in the 1990s. In exchange for his plea in the first case, charges were dropped in the second case.

One man accused Shelton of fondling, kissing and performing oral sex on him when he was a 14-year-old boy around 1995. The man had gone to Shelton for counseling and piano lessons and two of the alleged assaults occurred inside the church, the man testified at a preliminary hearing in May 2010.

A second man testified that Shelton would direct him into the the woods during bicycle rides and then fondle him. The man said the assaults ocurred in 1997, when he was 11 years old.

Pastor Shelton will spend between 4 and 16 years in prison. At 66, he my pay for his crime with his life. Shelton was the  pastor at Community Church of God in the Dunn Loring area.

Pastor Lawrence Brown convicted

LawrenceBrownPastor Lawrence Morris Brown, profiled here, was convicted of soliciting for prostitutes. Um… he offered a 15-year-old girl $100 in exchange for a sex act.

In July 2010, Brown was at the teenager's home in Slidell. He asked her if she wanted to make some money, then propositioned her for a sexual act, according to the St. Tammany Parish District Attorney's Office. Assistant District Attorney Mike Montalbano prosecuted the case.

The prosecutor dropped a charge of indecent behavior with a juvenile. He is not required to register as a sex offender. Brown was a pastor at Starlight Missionary Baptist Church.

Youth pastor Demetrius Allen guilty

Youth pastor Demetrius Darnell Allen apparently did carry on a year long sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl from his church. Since he admitted to the rapes by pleading no contest to 3 counts of lewd acts on a child, we can expect Allen to spend a few long years in prison. How long? Well that depends on the deal he worked out in exchange for his plea. My guess is 6 years. What say you?

Allen was the youth pastor at the Frist Baptist Church in Venice. There was so much love expressed by Allen fans in my original post that I fear the church should be shuttered. They, “don’t get it.”

she was not RAPED , it was her own fault, she had the choice , she made the decision, no one else did There was much love express for the victim in my original post:

And

she was not RAPED, i think we all need to learn facts before we put judment on people , a man is INNOCENT untill PROVEN GUILTY, we need to remember that !

And

there are still 2% that AREN'T guilty, this girl is NOT a child, people are so quick to point fingers without thinking the possible situations through, your right, me personally, i will NEVER apologize, i KNOW she is wrong, and i KNOW she is no type of VICTIM. If that qualifies me as a "sick fuck" than so be it.

You get the picture. It’s the 14-year-old girls fault. I think that’s a Baptist thing.

Pastor Joe Flowers sentenced

JoeFlowersPastor Joe Flowers was sentenced to 7 years in prison and 10 years post-release supervision. Flowers was convicted of the repeated sexual abuse of a young boy. Flower never acknowledged his abuse. He still maintains his innocence. He will soon find that prison is full of innocent men.

Flowers today apologized to his family, friends and parishioners, but maintained his innocence. He claimed all of his explanations had been “twisted.”

“You used the church and position of authority…for your own sexual gratification,” Piampiano said to Flowers. “How selfish and how destructive.”

Source: Joe Flowers gets maximum sentence for molesting boy

Flowers also continues to blame the victim for his troubles. The victims mother is more forgiving.

“I expected him to blame us,” the boy’s mother said. “He’s sorry it had to come through the courts, not for what he did…. I pray that he finds repentance and deliverance in his new journey.”

Flowers faces charges in two other cases. He will never see freedom again.

Additional charges are pending against Flowers for allegedly having sexual contact with two other boys. He will appear in Monroe County Court on those charges for a Sept. 6. pretrial hearing.

I wonder if he is bound for protective custody?

Rev. John Schneider sentenced

I would file this case under small crimes and misdemeanors except for that the nature of the crime highlights the  hypocrisy of the Catholic church. The prevalent mindset amoung priests is to protect accused priests against all complaints. It may not be the official policy, but when one priest acts to protect another by deleting incriminating child porn, it shows what the leadership of a parish is willing to do. They will commit crimes to protect their fellow priests. How screwed up is that?

Rev. John Schneider was sentenced to 45 days suspended sentence, 12 months probation, and 100 hours of community service. Oh, and lets not forget the massive $100 fine. Schneider deleted pornographic images of children from the computer of convicted pedophile Paul Lawrence Berrell. The district attorney let Schneider plead to a misdemeanor.

According to police, Schneider went to the North Ridge Drive apartment of former music minister Paul Lawrence Berrell on May 18, 2009, and deleted hundreds of pornographic images of children “in secret and with malice” during a criminal investigation of Berrell.

Source: Former Asheville pastor pleads guilty to obstruction in child porn case by Clark Morrison.

Pedophile catholic music director Paul Lawrence Barrell was sentenced to 28 years in prison. Pedophile enabler Rev. John Schneider is still a priest. How does that work?

Schneider, 58, resigned as pastor of St. Eugene shortly after he was charged. He remains an ordained priest but can't publicly present himself as a priest or publicly celebrate the sacraments, Hains said.

We see self imposed punishment. He’s no longer leading a church. He should be defrocked. One need only act, were Schneider’s actions Christ-like? I hear a resounding no. Why is this criminal still a pastor?

Youth Pastor Shawn Justice sentenced

Baptist youth pastor Shawn Anthony Justice was sentenced to a prison term of 8 years and 3 months for raping a teenaged parishioner. He was convicted of 8 counts of second-degree child sexual abuse. He was also sentenced to 30 years of suspended time.

“But he was the shepherd placed in charged of protecting his flock, and he turned out to be a wolf,” McConahy said, borrowing language used by the prosecutor. “Leniency to the wolf is not justice to the lambs.”

This is not the first instance of abuse for Justice. He molested a young girl when working as a musical director at a church in Virginia. Unfortunately for Alaskans, Justice could be on the street in a little as 3 years.

Pastor Morris Eubanks convicted

MorrisEubanksOh sweet justice. I love the feel of the word. Justice. It makes me proud to be an American. Especially when the likes of a no-good scumbag pastor like Morris Eubanks finally find out that their life scamming as a man of god is over. There will be no more respect. No more love offerings. And more importantly, no more forced sex with 11-year-old girls. Pastor Morris Eubanks will serve 18 years for his crime. At 59, he is unlike to pose a further threat to the innocence of any young girl.

Morris Eubanks, 59, of Waukegan, was convicted of predatory criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse during his trial in April. He could have faced up to 60 years in prison for the predatory charge and up to seven years for the aggravated criminal sexual abuse charge for what Associate Judge Theodore Potkonjak Called “very serious charges.”

“He did not take responsibility for what he has done. He blamed (others) and he expressed no empathy for (the victim),” said Assistant State’s Attorney Ari Fisz.

The man is delusional.

“I want this court to know when I am out, I will go back to trying to help people turn their life around,” Eubanks said. “I want this court to know that whatever time is given to me, I will walk it upstandingly. I will walk it as God would have me walk it.”

Eubanks can no longer walk with god. He’s a child molester. A rapist. A pedophile. A complete and total hypocrite. Nothing in his life even remotely looks like Christianity and nobody should encourage him to return to the ministry. He’s evil. Don’t give him a second chance. Not even in prison.

Eubanks preached at North Chicago and Zion Churches.

Youth pastor Russell Lewis convicted

It is rare for me to say that a youth pastor did the right thing after being accused of molesting a child. I will in this case. Russell Lewis did the right thing. He acted like a Christian should act. He accepted responsibility for his crimes and is willing to accept the court’s punishment. It is a rare thing.

Former youth pastor Russell Lewis pleaded no contest to charges that he molested a teenage girl from his youth group. By pleading no contest and throwing himself on the mercy of the court, he could get 105 years in prison for his crimes.

Defense lawyer Shlomi Presser said he will argue for the judge to take mitigating factors into account and imprison Lewis for less than the minimum time outlined by law.

"He is a first-time offender, this is an isolated incident, and clearly there was remorse," Presser said. He said Lewis had mental health issues that should be taken into consideration.

Let’s hope the Lewis does not receive the full weight of the law but instead is sentenced fairly and justly.

Youth pastor Brian Gray pleaded guilty

BrianGrayFormer youth pastor Brian Richard Gray pleaded guilty to several charges related to the molestation and rape of a 15-year-old girl. He used to take her home several times a week for sex.

Brian Richard Gray, 33, of Winder reached a plea agreement with prosecutors in Barrow County last week to serve 15 years in prison and 10 years probation.

Charges stemmed from allegations that Gray, a former youth minister at Monroe Church of Christ, had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old Oconee County girl who attended the church.

Source: Former Youth Minister to Appear in Oconee Superior Court

Gray is 33, that puts him near 50 on release. I hope they have plans to keep an eye on this pervert.
