Irrational Christian Hate

I see and hear this type of thing all the time. Christians, it really needs to stop.

Christian Voice Leader: "Tesco support for gay rights to blame for super mouse infestation"

Despite making an “unreserved apology”, the leader of Christian Voice attributed the situation to Tesco’s support of Pride in London in 2012.

Christian Voice’s national director Stephen Green told PinkNews: “It is symptomatic of the bad management of Tesco. Any company which announces its support for gay pride six weeks before Christmas obviously can’t operate basic pest control.”

Let's call this what it really is, an outrageous public display of homophobia and hate. I am confused though. Any rational person will see this for what it really is; a lie pushing a political position and motivated by hate. Christians, how does this help you message?

From your article's title: do you mean that Christians are irrational, or that hatred is, or that only hatred expressed by Christians is?

From the substance: indeed, anyone posessed of deep thought (even if they don't measure up to your standards of "rationality") will see the poor quality of this outburst, but a well known UK Skeptic is given to ranting too. How does it help the rationalist message to rant when the strength of rational method is self evident to anyone thoughtful?

Substantially, what's the difference in being called "Infidel" by al Qaeda, "N.....lover" by a skinhead, and "Homophobe" by a "progressive"? Not a lot that I can see. All are designed to insult and malign personally. All misrepresent, demonize and are grossly unfair. Possibly "Homophobe" is worst of all, because it is so often spoken by people who pride themselves on their tolerance and how they deplore hate language.
