Breaking News: Pastor shot to death

It's gruesome news this morning. CNN is reporting that a gunman walked to the pulpit of the First Baptist Church of Maryville in Illinois and shot pastor Fred Winters to death. There is no news as to the  motive.

Yeah, we need to be watching this one. You know there will be Christians who will assume the killer is an atheist or some other execrable wretch. And, of course, there may, in fact, be a demented atheist or two out there. Only, when they do something like this it's because they don't have the Holy Spirit, don't you know.

The fact that him and the pastor exchanged words tells me something went on. Might have been molested or something when he was a kid.. Never know... The guys dead now so hopefully the true reason will come out of the kid who shot him.

I love the part where his Bible stopped the first bullet. Unfortunately, there was the not so small matter of three others....

Yeah, Lugosi. I imagine any book of comparable mass would have done the same--some better.
