Disc Golf

My first game of disc golf this spring resulted in a loss to my nine-year-old son Michael. I showed him how to whip it before we started. His first throw was 70 yards. He ended up shooting one under par and beating me by two shots.

Did I mention that I am old (44), my knee hurts, my back hurts worse, and that my kid really did throw almost as far as I could? I've been playing disc golf since the 70s. I can count my losses on my fingers. I hardly ever lose. The last time was three or four years ago on a hilltop course near Lake Waco in Texas. That's the day I learned what chiggers are! What a day.

- I am very proud of my son. Great job Mike!
