Pastor Tommy Shelton convicted

Pastor Tommy R. Shelton Jr. submitted an Alford plea in his child molestation case. Shelton was accused of molesting two boys in the 1990s. In exchange for his plea in the first case, charges were dropped in the second case.

One man accused Shelton of fondling, kissing and performing oral sex on him when he was a 14-year-old boy around 1995. The man had gone to Shelton for counseling and piano lessons and two of the alleged assaults occurred inside the church, the man testified at a preliminary hearing in May 2010.

A second man testified that Shelton would direct him into the the woods during bicycle rides and then fondle him. The man said the assaults ocurred in 1997, when he was 11 years old.

Pastor Shelton will spend between 4 and 16 years in prison. At 66, he my pay for his crime with his life. Shelton was the pastor at Community Church of God in the Dunn Loring area.

IS this Tommy, Danny Shelton's brother... of 3ABN? He use to play the piano on 3 ABN???/

Used to play for Kid's Time in fact, even though Danny knew about the many allegations against Tommy. And Danny and 3ABN even sued two guys who blew the whistle about this in 2006, presumably in retaliation and to shut them up.

This pervert, Tommy, was production manager for 3ABN, a Seventh-Day-Adventist TV "ministry". And I use the latter term loosely.

Tommy and his clip joint running brother Danny are both money grubbing scumbags siphoning the "faithful" for their last $5.00 to build a small media empire. Danny had a hard time differentiating what was his money and what was the Lord's.

Danny also scumbagged his wife Linda who spent 20 or so years helping to build said "spiritual" clip joint. Can't believe he's still on the air.

I beleive Linda Shelton is a wonderful woman who was completely fooled by her husband and then blind sided when he wanted a younger woman and realised Linda might know things that could hurt him so he conspired to destroy her first. It was a nightmare involving quite a few character players that few are really aware of. I am a faithful Seventh Day Adventist and do not want to bring any harm to our church or our beliefs. It's heartbreaking to be deceived, but the world is full of deceivers and the church should not be condemned for the misdeeds of those few hypocrits and sinners that use it for their own glory. It's a very unfortunate thing that happens in all religious organizations. We have to keep our eyes on Christ and not trust in men.

also it is shown by mounds of evidence that Danny Shelton provided enourmous amounts of protection and financial provisions for his brother Tommy, knowing full well what he was doing. i think the truth of it is that it wasn't out of loyalty but out of simply wanting to protect himself from any ramifications that might occur if Tommy were ever caught. well, he was caught and the ramifications are still coming. Danny Shelton is a Judas. the sad part of it is, he probably won't ever pay for his crimes until the Lord judges him. for now it is the believers and the generous donations to 3abn that unwittingly pay for his crimes and his defense. they have no idea that that is where their money is going. it's a deeply saddenly situation, but i believe Jesus is in control and things will happen when He wants them to happen. Please pray for truth.
