Youth pastor Brian Gray pleaded guilty

BrianGrayFormer youth pastor Brian Richard Gray pleaded guilty to several charges related to the molestation and rape of a 15-year-old girl. He used to take her home several times a week for sex.

Brian Richard Gray, 33, of Winder reached a plea agreement with prosecutors in Barrow County last week to serve 15 years in prison and 10 years probation.

Charges stemmed from allegations that Gray, a former youth minister at Monroe Church of Christ, had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old Oconee County girl who attended the church.

Gray is 33, that puts him near 50 on release. I hope they have plans to keep an eye on this pervert.

You don't know this man. He is not solely defined by his actions, he simply made a mistake. Well, several mistakes. But you don't know him, you don't know his past or all the tragedy he's had to endure these last couple years. His two year old baby girl died in a car accident with the other driver at fault. His wife, confined to a wheelchair for the rest of her life. I can't even begin to imagine what must've been going through his mind when all of this happened, but I know from experience that no matter how righteous you are, no matter how hard you strive to do what is right, when this kind of tragedy strikes it's nearly impossible not to fall into Satan's grasp. And I met the young girl too, it wasn't RAPE. Statutory, yes, but she was willing. The ONLY reason she reported him was because she was jealous of a rumored relationship with a seventeen year old girl from the same church. We as Christians have to remember that no sin is greater than another. Jesus preached of tolerance and forgiveness, and I am certain that Brian is deeply ashamed and has suffered enough without having people that don't even know him writing these things about him. I'll be praying for everyone involved in this case, including Brian because I know he has a good heart, but especially for his wife. She has to live without ever seeing her daughter again, and she no longer has her husband there for support. I just wanted to inform you, that while his actions seem gruesome and perverse, he is not the scum of the earth you think he is.

Sorry, he is the very definition of depravity, hypocrisy, and dishonor. He deserves his fate. He brought it on himself. He owns the fruits of his lies and deceit.

No ,He is far worse than Scum ! Anyone who sexually abuses children is worse than scum shit ! And the people who defend these maggots are none the better . In your own words " You don't know this man ". He ,and the others like him are Child F@ckers ! And should be locked away ! Because that is the man he / They actually are.

Though I do not agree with his actions at least he is not like the others. The only evidence was his word against the girl's, if he wanted to lie and hide what happened, it would have been easy enough to do. However, Brian is not a malicious perv looking for young girls. He knows the Bible states ALL liars will take their place in Hell, so he faced his punishment and plead guilty. All the bashers need to remember he was out on bond and showed up in court and plead guilty. He could have skipped town and disappeared like a true molestor and be your neighbor.

To Jessica: I do know the man. He was putting the girls (the authorities actually highly suspected a third amongst you be she would not speak against him) through what is often termed the "grooming process" more than a year in advance before the car accident. If you do some research into FBI investigations into these people, he fits the profile perfectly. Secondly, you don't know anything about the case or the investigation. I do. He was a liar the the end. On video, of course. He was not brave enough to show up. And he tried even (again on video) to say that all of this was the fault of the girls. But that's no surprise because the whole congregation did the same thing and even tried to circle the wagons in his defense. So sad.
To 91ohz: There was way more evidence than what you guys were let in on. Sorry you guys were lied to. Brian was and still is malicious and has not apologized to the families to this day despite numerous chances in court. Also, he did try to flee to Alabama and was extradited back to GA. Sorry you were kept in the dark.
Dont know if you guys will ever get this, but hopefully the full truth will be made known one day. Also, be aware. There are other monsters among you.
