Youth pastor Adam Carter arrested

Adam Dewayne Carter is a youth pastor at the Temple of Knowledge Church in Mansfield, LA. He is alleged to have sent sexually explicit text messages to several young men.
It’s still hard for me to believe that sexting is a crime. It’s even harder for me to believe that a youth pastor would engage in this level of stupidity. His brother turned him in.
Richard, who identified Carter as his brother, said he learned on May 4 that text messages were being communicated inappropriately with male teenagers and immediately reported it to police. “We had no prior knowledge of any misconduct by Mr. Carter,” Richard states.
I see a plea dealing coming soon.

Good maybe this one was caught before he could devastate some young boys life .

I truly have been holding my comments back on all of this stuff. I also know The entire Caraway family. Jeremy and I are very close friends and there is know way that he is guilty of these crimes. This is a man that will turn away from a movie if a female actress is wearing provocitive clothing. He is a man of God and he stands for something that most of you do not understand. It strikes me funny how people have already convicted him and all the facts haven't even been presented. The problem here is the abusive nature of the so called "media" including this blog. Understand that Jeremy Caraway is a man of God, a man of principle, and someone who is willing to stand for God. If you want to try and be a reporter stop quoteing everyone else and go look up some facts yourself. The damage that you are trying to induce is vulger and unfair. God has Jeremy in his hand and will take care of him as well as his family.__

Your youth pastor will get his day in court. The facts suggest he will also serve at least some time in prison, although sexting is not what I consider a sever sexual crime. Of course, if they move on to prosecute other crimes, all bets are off.

Life is not fair, but I try to be. If Carter is found not guilty I will not it here on my blog. I will update his arrest post with the information, and I will allow him a guest post on my blog. It's my standard offer. I've not had any takers yet because there have only been a few pastors found not guilty over the years. By a few I mean two or three out of the total population.

If my friend were accused I would stand by him. I have no choice. That is what friends do. That changes with facts. A fact would be a text message (or dozens) between Carter and his kids. I understand the police already have that evidence. Good luck "atrufriend" - Carter will need it.
