I got lucky today. I was driving 80mph while listening to The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - Someday I Suppose. My music was loud but my mood was foul. I was 1.5 hours behind schedule on a hour long drive with an hour still to go. In other words, an epic bad drive through Los Angeles. The music helped. I did not pick the song, it was just on.
A CHP Officer pulled up next to me on his bike and waved me over. When he walked to my window the song was just winding down. He said something like, “Hey, I love these guys.” I flicked the song back to its start and let it go. He listened and when It ended said, “You really should slow down.” Then he walked away. In tribute to a nice CHP officer, I give you Someday I Suppose.
