Episcopal hypocrisy in action

Bishop Charles E. Bennison Jr. does not care that you might find it wrong the he heads a Christian organization that preaches personal integrity as a core value. Nope, he’s a hypocrite and simply does not care what you think. In fact, he might as well be flipping you the bird. Oh, and please remember to send your tithe in on time.

It was the 66-year-old bishop's second day at work since the Episcopal Church charged him in October 2007 with mishandling and concealing his brother's sexual abuse of a minor three decades earlier.

Move along sheeple. Bishop Bennison has important work to do. Forget the whole “conduct unbecoming a member of clergy” thing. That was only a recommendation.

I’ve got a message for the leadership. Quit asking for his resignation. Fire him.

They did try to fire him - that was what the trial was all about. Now that the court's decision was overturned on appeal due to a technicality, the only recourse the Church has is to appeal to whatever sense of integrity the man might have. There's no way in the Episcopal Church to simply fire a bishop, other than an ecclesiastical trial. Believe me, we'd like him gone.
