This story gets weirder and weirder with each passing day. Yesterday we found out that the suspected murder, Gary Lee Bullock, tried to blow up the rectory by turning on a gas stove and leaving behind a lit cigar. He also doused Father Freed's body in liquor. Fortunately, the cigar went out.
No motive has been established. I'm going with crazy.
In late news, Gary Lee Bullock had his bail rescinded and was ordered held without bail. A gag order was also imposed by Humbolt Count Superior Court Judge Dale Reinholtsen.
