Tea party idiocy on the 19th Amendment

Central Mississippi Tea Party President Janis Lane said these immortal words recently in an interview where she giving women the right to vote was a bad idea.

"There is nothing worse than a bunch of mean, hateful women," she says. "They are diabolical in how than can skewer a person. I do not see that in men."

I look forward to the day 20 years from now when a scholar writes the definitive history of the Tea Party Movement. It will be one-page long and simply say, “they were idiots.”

I am not really surprised by this. If you really listen to the more extreme views share by the chrisitians within the Tea Party you will see many comments like this. I would say it is lack of media attention tht has allowed this group to get any kind of power. If the media was to actually report what people say many would be removed from their positions fairly quickly.
I sit at my computer, here in Australia, totally aghast at what I see going on in the Tea Party and the Republican Party movements. From what I can make out, America seems to be losing its grip on reality and it seems to be going against the trend of the rest of the Western World. I cannot imagine how these goons are allowed to get into positions of influence in the first place, let alone stay there.

Every time that a conservative woman opens her mouth in the public sphere, I am reminded that it was the radical suffragettes and feminists of the last two centuries that made it possible for them to be heard. As a woman, my answer to these ninnies is that if they don't like the way things are going, they can take themselves home, be obedient to their husbands, and remain silent.

It is utterly stupid to think that anyone gives a damn when a woman self-insults when insulting other women. Conservative men already think as much. They don't need the help of a female to be told that females are inferior--they're in charge! They know that! Normal, healthy men with relationships of equality simply watch the circus and feel some pity and contempt for the teabagging Janis Lanes of this world.
The generalities, stereotyping and speaking from ignorance and bias going on in this blog are as sad and pathetic as any thing I've seen or heard from anybody who may or may not have been a Tea Party member... most reasonable points of view fortunately have persons who can effectively and reasonably argue their particular opinon-- this isn't one of them. This is a toilet wall with scrawls on it... and it needs a good cleaning with plenty of disinfectant... I mean it REALLY REEKS in here.

Then don't come back.
What is your point? You've read all 5000+ post and can make an informed evaluation? No. I think you are just mad at my criticism of your Tea Part's insanity.
