Pastor Anthony Thibodeaux arrested

Another Baptist pastor was arrested for sexual assault of a child. This time in Texas. Wait. I say arrested in Texas a lot these days. There must be something in the water down there.

FAIRFIELD (August 10, 2012)—Freestone County pastor Anthony Lynn Thibodeaux, 36, of Mexia, was in the Freestone County Jail Friday afternoon after his arrest earlier in the day on warrants charging sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child.

Thibodeaux, who is pastor of the Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church in Freestone County and who also works for the State of Texas, was arrested early Friday afternoon in neighboring Limestone County, Freestone County Sheriff Ralph Billings said.

The victim is a 15-year-old girl.

When are the authorities going to look at the facts regarding misbehaviour by clergy and come up with some rules for them to adhere to, such as churches adequately researching all employees; and such as instituting in-house policies of dual supervision of minors at all times. Until the churches act to reduce the likelihood of these things occurring in their domains, then they are just as responsible as the individual perpetrators.

It shouldn't be too hard for authorities to put two an two together and realise there is a Big Problem going on.

Well done Mojoey, for continuing to document all these appalling crimes.

Truthful Mojoey...very truthful statement...but in essence the church are the people..and the people are the church....Im old enough, youre old enough to discern good from bad, but being an African American....im not making excuses ...but stating facts...so many young boys and girls grow up without proper guidance....and Tibodeaux and his partner in crime Ladonna Brackes (who was just arrested (http://www.kxxv.com/story/19290413/another-arrest-made-in-connection-to-fairfield-sex-assault) used their positions to hurt these young girlS...yes girls....She would bring them in and tell them it would be ok....hes not going to hurt you...and he would do what he did.....
It was well known around town that she was his side piece....so not only was he an child molestor...but adulterly as well. ...I hope they BOTH get what they deserve....let the church forgive them if they want...I cannot right now....Im mad

im even madder that the men of this church are not standing up and fighting, the community is not standing up and speaking out, its time we start getting involved and staying involved in our children's lives.

-- and his cohort LaDonna Bracken turned herself in... Both she and he are charged with sexual assault and indecency with a child. Some articles say the pastor's assaults took place at her home. She served as a secretary in the church and worked with the youth.

Yes this is so sad. But all of the men of the church has been run off. The Pastor told them that he could not work with them- I wonder why!!! The church is being ran by women. The men that are there are not real men and following under the direction of their wives. The women are in loved with this Pastor - I guess they have been touched by him also. The congregation are people from surrounding towns - Teague and mexia. It hurts me because this was one of the largest churches in the area and has so much history. The former members that spoke against him were made to feel unwelcomed.

So many members have died trying to talk to this pastor -- he is out of control. The church have bailed him out of some much trouble. Hot checks - saving his home from foreclosure( that is back in foreclosure) preventing utilities from being disconnected, paying for lavish vacations , he some how gets raises even though the church voted against it. There needs to be an audit done on the church. THE MONEY IS GONE!! We often wondered what does he do with so much money --- My mother use to say " A man that can not manage his household can not pastor a church!!! " He and his family constantly demands money from this congregation if though the economy is tight.

WOW..sounds like more of his "flock" is starting to speak out..and rightfully so....what upsets me the most about it is that we can put on our hoodies and protest when a white man shoots a black and blast it all over facebook, but where is the community when their children are being abused and misled by members of their OWN community. In my opinion he should NOT be allowed to set forth on that church ground. Look up Jim Jones and David Koresh, dont fall victim to this type of leadership. That is NOT CHRISTIANITY...that is a cult and a vile and vicious one at that. If we can march for Travyon who whas thousands of miles away, we FAIRFIELD COMMUNITY, should be able to march for this little girl and the many others that have been affected by these crimes.

But as they said....that isn't the church anymore...not the church my family went to,were baptized in, and married in. His is sadly tarnishing the history and the leagacy of a once great African American church. Leaving and starting another church is not the answer, yet so many of us do when these problems arise. Facing the devil and waiting for our "Joshuas' to stand up and fight is the key. In the meantime...Ill see if I can take the sign down and put the Church of AL Thibodeaux up ther!

If he was a real man, he would step down and not drag the church down with him. However, he needs to be removed. That child that was hurt belongs to the church. Where is she suppose to attend church. Why does she have to rearrange her life. More should come forward as it has been stated that many of the young girls/women have left the church due to his harrassment.

She will grow up sadly like many of our children, not having anyone positive to turn to so will turn to someone that uses her naivety to their advantage much as Thibodeaux did and be caught in the endless cycle that we entrap ourselves in so much. The sad fact is that when SOME, (NOT ALL) of these young girls are hurt in this way, they lose their faith in people, men especially, and end up making/chosing wrong decisions in life. I hope she has the courage and tenacity to withstand such negativity around her.

I pray that she uses this experience to press on and overcome the hurdles in her life, staying steadfast in the truth and her faith, though yet tested at an early age in her life, she still CAN still prevail if she wants it too. Ihope that she will be surrounded by positive people/forces in her life to and uplift her and keep her uplifted.

LET US STAND UP AND DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE FOR OUR CHILDREN--THE ENDANGERED SPECIES....

Sometimes you have to come out of the comfort of your own home, sometimes you have to open the curtains and look outside....TURN THE PORCH LIGHTS ON AGAIN!

This isn't a man with a police baton in his hand ( Becuz we foolishily riot when this happens)
This isnt a man with a gun playing neighborhood security ( we march and "like" on fb when this happens)
This is our own...whom we uplifted in the community every Sunday....so we have a right to hold him accountable...not just the courts but in our neighborhoods and churches.

So spread the word...thank you.

I would encourage anyone else who is a victim of this evil male & female pedifiles, to please come forward & let your voice be heard. These two pedophiles need to be locked up in prison. Sick perverts will only try to be more careful the next time they decide to go out on the prowl.

I trust that they will get what coming.

But I am concerned that he is allowed to attend church with children. it appears that he is shown special favor. Why aren't the authorities protecting all of the other children.

Pastor and his lover - Ms. Brackens worship in church together Sunday. The question is who did they come to worship - God or the prey on the children. Are they picking out the nex victims at the church. Another thing that bothers me is that some of the Pastors in the community are telling their congregation not to believe what they hear and they are taking up money for the sex offenders. These so called preachers are more concerned about sticking together rather than following the word of God. makes me wonder........

One pastor is also a police officer so what does that say about him. Is he going against the authorities. He is taking up money for the the ex-coach sex offender - is it possible that this pastor is also in the click or in the flicks.

Pastor Tibodeaux has sunk so low that he is applying for food stamps. Now tell me how is he eligible. I do not want my tax dollars feeding him.
Merchants in town will not cash a check on him.

well this is pastor green and whatever coward said im taking up money for him or her is a liar. you must be speaking of me im a police officer. anyway whoever you are why dont you unmask urself and say it to my face. the only difference between me and you is i dont condemn people before thry have a trial you are so sure they are guilty maybe you star in the video he without sin cast the first stone devil
