Youth pastor Carloe Estigo arrested

Youth pastor Carloe Estigo was arrested for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old girl. The charges include sexual penetration with a foreign object, so we are looking at another case of a youth pastor raping a 14-year-old girl. I think we’ve identified the official danger zone for youth pastors.

Estigo faces felony charges of lewd acts upon a child between 14 and 15 years old and sexual penetration of a minor under 16 years old with a foreign object, said Teresa Drenick, Alameda County deputy district attorney.

Estigo pleaded not guilty.

Estigo was a volunteer youth pastor at Castro Valley Church of the Nazarene. In a bizarre move, the church password protected their website. What are they trying to hide?

An adult male who volunteers to be an unpaid youth pastor should raise a red flag. Right?

The whole unpaid youth pastor thing should indeed receive closer scrutiny. And yet, this sort of thing keeps happening!

Lack of church over site with these Youth PredoPastors is appalling. It is like the churches have declared they're children part of the Child molesters MENU !

This is the most disguesting thing ever for a 35 year old man who takes out his repulsive behavior on teens. He lewds kids in as friends and then molests them? The people that you "think" you can trust, but you CAN NOT!!!

Has this individual gone through the judicial system?
Where is the faith, non-judgmental attitude and/or mindfulness within the many denominations of the Christian religion?
I pray for this particular individual. May his conscience and faith guide him wisely.

I find some of the above remarks ignorant. "Child molesters MENU" Wow!
Just because he is a member of a Christian parish, does not mean you can trust him, anymore than another person.

The jury and judge has not made their decision, yet? It is a scary thought, that this young man who seemed very trustworthy, is/was charged with such alleged repulsive acts of lewd behavior. How many opportunities had he had being in a church youth group as a youth leader. I agree. I hope things become crystal clear and validated regarding the charges set before Carlo E. I feel there should be no questions, assumptions nor accusations of wrongful judgement towards the church he is/was currently affiliated with in Castro Valley. I also believe, he should be thankful that he was taken in, welcomed with open arms and trusted within the Pastor parish, his family and friends. Keep the faith. It just may prove out, there was a miss communication, wrong interpretation of any given situation and or the minor just plain ole didn't know what was considered lewd /unacceptable? The power of Forgiveness,Understanding,and Prayer. I feel is this man's only hope. Plus, he must seek medical mental help if there is any question or doubt that he did not perform the alleged lewd acts. Maybe, family support, understanding will help with healing. Yet, it sounds to me. Carlo maybe a very angry, confused man with no self worth nor self esteem. It makes me feel very sad to think, such a young man has been taken over by the devil himself and had an out of body experience. Nothing more said. To all the mother's who may read this rather lengthy written thoughts on paper. I can only say. Keep up the good, caring watchful eyes on your precious family gems. Your children are priceless.~ I wonder what happened yesterday during his court appearance. One would hope his entire family escorted him into court at the Superior Court in Contra Costa. Everyone needs someone in their court.~

Has there been any more information since the pre-trial was set in May of this year? It seem like it all came to a halt. I hope it wasn't found, that there wasn't or isn't enough evidence or? Please advise, if anyone has heard anything else regarding this alleged hanes allocations. Thank you. From a concerned Mom.
