Vicar Dominic Stone gets suspended sentence

If you need further proof that Europe is soft of child pornography, just look at the case of disgraced vicar Dominic Stone. He was convicted of 16 child porn charges, yet he will serve no time because he’s had a substantial change of heart and admits culpability. Oh hell. Where is the justice?

Stone, aged 47, formerly of the Vicarage, Moisty Lane, Marchington was sentenced to nine months imprisonment, suspended for two years.

He was also ordered to register as a sex offender for seven years and banned from working with under 16s.

The clergyman has already resigned, but the Church of England is also likely to ban him from working as a priest.

So kids 16 and up are still legal. Stone will just set his sights a little higher. At least he’s not working as a holy man.
