Catholic school minister accused of misconduct

Jean Revil of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fall River, was placed on administrative leave after allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct were made by a former student.

The diocese said 53-year-old Jean Revil was placed on leave Thursday after a former student at Bishop Stang High School in Dartmouth went to church officials with the allegation.

The diocese said the district attorney's office has been notified.

Jean Revil is not a priest, but the charge is still serious enough to make the clergy sexual abuse list here at Deep Thoughts. I don’t like to report on cases that are civil only. The record for civil cases that are not based on criminal charges is spotty. However, if there is an indication that the case may go to the criminal route, I like to include it, but I keep the speculation to a minimum.
