You may know Pastor Eddie Long as the self-proclaimed Biship Eddie Long of the New Birth Missionary Baptist Megachurch. I call him pastor bling-bling because he teaches prosperity theology. Charges surfaced today that he uses his position of authority to coerce sex from young men.
"Defendant Long has a pattern and practice of singling out a select group of young male church members and using his authority as Bishop over them to ultimately bring them to a point of engaging in a sexual relationship," the suits allege.
Long is considered one of the nation's top black preachers.
The pastor took one plaintiff, Anthony Flagg, 21, on overnight trips to a half-dozen American cities in recent years, Flagg's suit alleges.
"Long shared a bedroom and engaged in intimate sexual contact with plaintiff Flagg including kissing, massaging, masturbating of plaintiff Flagg by defendant Long and oral sexual contact," the suit says.
This one will be interesting, especially given his stature in the black community.

Baptist preacher rapists charged, arrested and convicted in DROVES whilst their pew sitters circle the wagons and offer up further victims while SBC claims keeping their predators from behind pulpits "...would cause confusion"
The leadership in the Southern Baptist Convention refuse to warn churches against well known sexual predator and thieving preachers claiming they are afraid of being sued by preachers who are predators.
The Stop Baptist Predators site has a massive list of known sexually deviant Baptist Preachers already charged and convicted with heinous crimes and a section where victims report how they were abused further when reporting the rapes/crimes to Baptist leadership.

If the Southern Baptist Convention cared more about the parishioners than the tithes paying their salaries, victims of Baptist Preachers would not need to create the public data base on the site linked above.

First of all; it's a tragedy that anyone is sexually abused or abused in any manner. However, the Church must stop blaming other entities for their sinful nature. I find it ironic that you being a minister speaks of a place called Hell with an annotation of Hell being everlasting torment. If you study you Bible instead of just reading it you should know that the Bible does not define Hell as being such a place. Paul nor Jesus never preached of such a place of where souls go to be tormented forever. Study your Bible.
If bishop Long is guilty or innocent it is not the work of the so called Devil or Satan as you would define it. Again, you need to study your Bible and see the Bible does not define Satan in the terms that you are speaking of. Paul never once in his Journey of preaching the Gospel said he was being chased by an evil supernatural being called Satan. Instead the only problem that plagued Paul was mankind. The truth of the matter is man is responsible for all his actions and sin. The entire church body needs to study the Bible and stop listening to people like Eddie long who only entertains them and stunts their Christian growth. John 3:16 says it all in a nut shell. "Live or perish." "life or death." Wouldn't it give reason to think that if one would burn and feel pain forever he would have to have everlasting life? THE BIBLE TEACHES; CHOOSE LIFE OR DEATH. We all need to study instead of just reading; especially the so-called Black Church.
Yes, God said "touch not my anointed". When you quote verses why don't YOU try to understand who God is talking to and what God is talking about. If you would study your Bible I am pretty sure that you will see that this verse has nothing to do with Eddie Long, you, nor I as a matter of fact. Church, please start to study to keep from being mislead by what others say. Study and find out for yourself.

Long is one of many the IRS should tax since he illegally abuses his pulpit for political issues.
Long's church was among those named in 2007 in a Senate committee's investigation into a half-dozen Christian ministries over illegal financing.
The facts that Long gave cars, church funds, luxury travel, gifts to these boys can all be documented....and whilst espousing anti-gay rhetoric had marriage ceremonies with the boys
......is just more validation of the fact that one who rants against anything is the guiltiest of perpetrators of what they are ranting against.

CNN reporting:
Another civil suit has been filed against Long, alleging coercion, negligence and fraud that involved a sexual relationship with a third young male, CNN has learned.
Wednesday's lawsuit, filed in DeKalb County, Georgia, State Court, was brought on behalf of Jamal Parris, now 23, who was a teenager at the time of the allegations.
Considering the cultural issues inherent in general as to boys/men being sexually molested -- one cannot discount these young mens'allegations.
Each one of them has allowed their names to be used in making the claims and they are surely well aware of the cultural stigma attached to the admission they were sexually [and spiritually] abused by a man who just happens to be their "Pastor".
We should consider any boy or man who's willing to take the cultural bashing from their own friends, family, church population(s) and community . . . . a HERO for those future victims they are hoping to prevent.
Just last night news coverage in re: sexual abusers provided statistics that only a tiny percentage of sexual assaults are ever reported to police due to the horrors of re-victimization of the victims in dealing with the legal arena The news was discussing assaults against women. Considering the "tiny percentage" of women who are brave enough to face further victimization to get freaks behind bars and save future victims from becoming one.....
We can assume assaults against men/boys are even a tinier percentage reported to police.
Considering the non-stop headlines regarding those who ARE arrested, charged, convicted - the massive numbers of unreported sexually abusive bastards . . and their victims . . . is dunning to imagine.
