God is no longer male

The Scottish Episcopal Church has bowed to political correctness and neutered the God that they worship. I guess the whole “God the Father” thing is out too. How does that work now?

The new form of worship, which removes words such as 'Lord, he, his, him' and 'mankind' from services, has been written by the church in an attempt to acknowledge that God is 'beyond human gender'.

If God is not a man then how did Jesus get conceived? Oh wait, God did not actually sleep with Mary, he just gave her his seed. No wait, It gave her the seed. Is that right? Political correctness can be so dumb.

I wound up writing about this on my blog when I found it, too. (http://bit.ly/bWsfX7)

I've never understood this approach to language. Yeah, English has a lot of masculinity in it, but on the flip side, you never see anyone petitioning to eliminate all reference to violence, like that's going to be a way to stop people from being violent. Hammering the point, beating a dead horse..all kinds of places where violence is a part of the lexicon and nobody really thinks about it. But this they think about? Whether god should get a man word? Waste of time, if you ask me.
