Sometimes I don’t take good photos. Instead, I photograph the odd things I encounter as I go through my day. Take the Virgin Mary on tile shown on the left. I parked in front of this display while eating at a Mexican restaurant in Harbor City. It was one of a dozen adorning local businesses. The women dining with me told me her daughter believes in the Virgin Mary and prays to her. I was practicing religious tolerance yesterday, which means I don’t talk to people about their faith as much as I talk to people about my lack of faith if the subject comes up. My atheism did not come up. I nodded my head and said nice things. We ate lunch, I had tacos and then shot the Virgin Mary as an afterthought.
