Pastor Curtis Franklin arrested

I read these stories and think, “What a dumb bastard.” I don’t know why I think they are dumb, but I do. I guess it’s because I think anyone of normal intelligence would not be lead to hurt a child. Of course, the real reason is related to ones morals. By now I understand that being a pastor, or by extension a Christian, does give one a leg up in moral behavior. Pastor Curtis Franklin is the latest example. He faces charges of sexual assault on a girl younger than 16.

The sexual conduct took place on at least three occasions at a local residence about six years ago and was not reported until Monday, authorities said. Franklin was arrested Tuesday.

It’s always that Sunday afternoon rape of an innocent child that comes back to haunt you. When will they learn?

Pastor Curtis Franklin is the assistant pastor for Mahwah Full Gospel Church. Perhaps when this is settled and Franklin gets out of prison, he can get a job at the Mahwah half Gospel Church just down the road?

Indecently, the church website does not mention anything about the arrest of its assistant pastor. Move along folks, nothing to see here. Oh wait, a second victim has come forward.

I don't understand. Full Gospel churches have the HOly-ghost (proper pronunciation): tongues-talking and everything. This must be some kind of mistake.

Yes that's true but Man has free Will and God will not force himself or his will or way on anyone. But remember this 1 thing " Wheat and tares grow together, I will separate them when I come" that's what Jesus said.

If you do not walk in the spirit you can fall, but who are we as people to judge this man of his wrong doing. Matthew 7:1 says judge not, that ye be not judged. No man on this earth can judge another for none of us is with out sin. We should not look at this mans wrong doing, but we should pray for him that he my be forgiven and strenghthened through this storm. The devil would like for us to slander this mans name but if it was us we would be looking for mercy. So lets not be quick to slander and hate but let us love and forgive. Matthew 6:14-15 says For if ye forgive men their trespassas, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

has anyone thought to check out the girl that is doing the accusing?????? I found out that she moved to Louisiana and started an affair with the Youth Pastor and when confronted lied but then broke down and told the truth....The Youth Pastor all of a sudden felt led to leave the church and the girl followed and is now going to have his baby....yes they are now married.....she is really messed up. And it is from one family that this is all coming from....they were offended in church....What a waste, I just do not understand them wanting to ruin a Pastor......But let us all check the facts...all of them....

Not blaming the child, I believe she lied...just like she did when she was actually caught with a different youth Pastor.....She lied then and is lying now....Her family has been caught in a church scandal and she lied in order to protect herself and her family....This is a fact!

Listen, my name is Curtis Franklin, a 30 year old that performs magic shows and speak for students etc.. I'm NOT the same dude. When people Google my name they see this blog. Since this is old news now, can you please remove this post so people will not see my name identified with a f@kd up bad representative of ministry.. I'd greatly appreciate it. Keep up the provocative blogs.. I'm a pretty provocative non mainstream Christian.. just want to keep a solid image in a society with jacked up pulpiteers out for the wrong reasons.. thanks man!

I wished this blog would be removed. My name is Curtis Franklin a 30 year old guy involved with youth ministry, etc. This causes confusion when people Google my name. The point has been made in 2009. It's now 2011, lets move forward and respect other people that may have the same name, doing the right thing.
