A pastor’s staggering ignorance

JohnHelmuth By now, anyone who uses the internet to hook up with young girls for illicit sex must know they run the risk of a law enforcement sting. Especially pastors…

Greenville Police arrested John David Helmuth Tuesday in an internet predator sting. He faces 10 charges of criminal solicitation of a minor and one count of attempted criminal sexual conduct with a minor. If convicted, Helmut faces 10 years in prison on each count of solicitation and 20 years on the criminal sexual conduct charge.

Helmuth is a pastor at Tabernacle of Faith in Piedmont.

In case you are wondering, this was no casual event. Helmuth pursued the relationship.

Over the course of the next month and a half, Helmut encouraged the person he believed to be a 13-year-old girl to engage in sexually explicit activity, according to warrants.

It’s getting to the point where I think we need some way to tell the true Christians from the fakers. Perhaps a tattoo or some such?

Come on, Mojoey! It's easy to tell the True Christians from the fakes. The True Christians are the ones who never, ever do anything like this. What's so hard about that?

I need a visual clue. Perhaps blue hair will work?
Maybe something like a mood ring, only make it a belief ring. But I'll tell you what. I think it'd be flashing different colors a lot of the time on most Christians' fingers.
Maybe its all to do with that belief without evidence stuff - you know, i believe I won't get caught. If he can believe in a magic man, thinking he won't get caught raping juveniles is small fry.

No. I'll have to look for it on Netflix.
