A Raven and a pastor accused in foreclosure scam

Pro Football player Anwar Phillips and his pastor stand accused of scamming distressed homeowners. The scam was based on confidence and religion. Phillips was a "good guy" trying to give back to his community. A pastor was used to give the scam a sense of legitimacy.

anwar Phillips wears the number 28 for the Ravens, but he is the No. 1 defendant listed on the complaint recently filed in superior court.

"For whatever reason, I don't know what was in their hearts when they did this, but they did it illegally," said attorney Mike Vallee, who represents the Taylors, a couple who are alleged victims. "It was an NFL player. They (the victims) figured he was making a lot of money and that he was helping people out, and in turn he was getting a tax write-off."

Lovely… Just lovely.

If anybody has the name of the pastor. Please pass it along for addition to my hall of shame.
