Another big arrest in the war against pedophile pastors...
The former senior pastor of the First United Pentecostal Church in Redding was arrested Thursday afternoon on suspicion of more than 40 counts of child molestation.
Shasta County sheriff's deputies arrested David Leon Bishop at his home about 4 p.m. He was booked into Shasta County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail on multiple counts of alleged child molestation.
Bishop, who had been pastor of the church since the early 1970s, resigned from the church several months ago, but the exact circumstances of his resignation were then unclear.

David Bishop has a long history to answer for. 40 counts of child molestation is an astounding allegation. At least his former church got it right.
Although he and other church leaders declined to elaborate, the church board of business management issued its five paragraph statement that went on to say: "the action of child molestation and abuse is a violation of God's law and man's law."
"We do not condone, excuse, cover up or tolerate in any way shape or form these actions by anyone, whether a member or officer of this church corporation," it read.
