Pastor Wallace Harris won't be charged with sexual abuse

Pastor Wallace dodged one bullet only to face another. His church is morally obligated to investigate the allegations even though the statute of limitation has run its course.

Both alleged incidents happened at another New York Archdiocese congregation, before Harris took the helm at St. Charles in 1989, Zwilling said.

The pastor has been suspended from his duties as a priest until recommendations are made by an advisory review board.

"[Harris' future] will be addressed a quickly as possible," Zwilling said.

I read this two ways. Either Harris is in trouble, or Harris will be on his way to a new parish. I'm betting he is packing his bags already.

I would ask that people visit the blog www.cathedral-prep-alumni.blogspot.com to hear some positive stories about the man before making any judgements.

please remove your blog-- Harris has resigned and will NEVER again publicly act as a priest. All of what he may have done for you and his other supporters has been undone by what he did to his young victims. Pray for him still, if you wish, but not because he is a "great man of faith"-- pray for him because he is an unrepentent sinner.

Harris is guilty. He is a pedophile and an abuser. The archdiocese has allowed him to resign and retire as a priest but he will never again publicly act as a priest. Does anyone think the church has allowed this because Harris is innocent?!? If it had been determined that he was innocent, wouldn't this be the perfect opportunity for the church to proudly proclaim "Look, this man has been wronglfully accused-- we have taken 2 years to investigate and find no evidence of his guilt!" Well, the church can't say that because IT"S NOT TRUE!!!!! I have known the man for more than 20 years and I am aware of all the good things he has done for many, but the bad he did will ALWAYS outweigh the good. I also know his some of Harris's victims . . . Harris has caused tremedous hurt to innocent young boys-- their trauma will last their lifetimes.
