What is faith?

Atheist blogger Mikayla from Bits of Starstuff asks the question, what is faith? She's using YouTube to get the message out to the faithful in an effort to start a dialog.

I like this idea. It's nice to see the face behind a blog, hear a rational voice, and open a dialog. Stop by and leave a comment or spread the work.

NIDEA, THAT ONE HAS TO JUSTIFY A SUPREME POWER OF CREATION.SUCH PUT AS ESSENTIAL.FAITH BEING ONLY A FUNDEMENTAL LACK IN UNDERSTANDING AS EXPERIENCE. WHENCE THERE BEING NO LACK IN EXPERIENCE AS SUCH UNDERSTANDING, FAITH BE THEN IN ITS TRUE SENSE ARRIVED AT THERE BEING CLARITY ITS DESTINATION AS STANDPOINT CLEAR WHEN EXPERIENCE AS UNDERSTANDING BEING BALANCED..

faith has the potential to be a crutch. when things go well - we take credit. when things go wrong - we blame it on not having enough faith or believing in it enough. it allows us to relinquish personal responsibility by believing it is soemthing outside of ourselves that is responsible, thus allowing for blame
