...and a dobsonian terrorist tries to bomb members of the Westboro Baptist Church.
Mark David Uhl, 19, was arrested Monday night on charges of manufacturing an explosive device, Major Steve Hutcherson said. He said Uhl told a family member he had made bombs and planned to attend the funeral. The family member notified authorities.
Uhl was undoubtedly influenced by his religions upbringing and fundamentalist education - He was a student at Liberty University after all. Perhaps a secular education would have prevented this?
Note to Mark Uhl: I once read the life story of a famous Los Angeles detective called Jigsaw John. He said that most criminals are caught because they like to talk. Read books while you are in prison. It helps.
The weird thing is, when I was a kid, my friends and I would make these same homemade napalm explosive devices. We would use gasoline and detergent to fill old Christmas ornaments. Toilet paper served as the fuse. BB guns were used as the triggering device. The parking lot of the neighborhood school was our bombing range. The bulbs exploded and would burn for minutes (big flames, low boom). We stopped after the cops caught us. It was two cops versus five ten-year-old mini-bombers - I escaped punishment, my friends could not sit down for weeks.

I particularly like the small "d" in "dobsonian."
My guess is that before too long Mark David Uhl also may not be able to sit down for weeks.
Hoo ha! I bet! Maybe the Westboro Baptist church needs to rethink their strategies?? Look out!
We did gunpowder. Idiotically we carried it around school with us. As we all smoked, the potential for some sort of accident wasn't just "potential": it was inevitable! I (accidentally!) set fire to one of the lawns, and my friend set fire to his leg...
I ran from the scene of the crime, merging with the crowd to hear "Sir! There's a a fire 'round back!"
Oh, the times we had. Of course, bombing protesters wasn't on our radar. That man's a fool. I hope he doesn't start a trend.

It's sad that someone of such a young age is already a fanatic. But perhaps that is the stage in life when people are most vulnerable to fanatic beliefs and actions - when they are young and green and easily influenced.
Come to think of it - you don't really find too many middle-aged fanatics, unless you want to include politicians to the mix.
I happen to know Mark, and like Mojoey said, he did this as Mojoey was doing with Christmas balls. He wasn't planning on blowing up any group, but the family member who turned him in apparently to the police and ATF he might be. That's where the hype came from. He was actually on his way home to see his grandfather that night who'd been put in the hospital and didn't have much longer to live. BTW, Mark missed his funeral because of all of this. Isn't family wonderful. He was going to take the to a large field to the best of my knowledge and blow up one or two, if any, just to see what they'd do. No radical anti-anything here. He has jewish friends, homosexual friends, black, hispanic friends, he grew up in the middle of a major city and got along with all. No predjudice in him, except for major predjudice people, and those he just ignores.
Dammit, and I here I thought I was the only one who had ill-will towards the Westboro Bigot Church! C'mon seriously... protesting Jerry Falwell, why? Because he didn't hate Gay People enough?
This Mark what's his face had a nice idea, but he was doing it for all the WRONG reasons. Christians fighting other Christians is very lulzworthy, but wouldn't have been better to blow them up for the justice of all minorities, instead of as some lame retaliation against them for insulting America or some dead evangelist bigot who got a college named after him?
And no, I'm not serious about killing anybody. I'd rather just annoy them with Rick Roll music on a CD player and some funny "God Hates Shrimp" signs than do any of that retarded martyr shit, that's what they WANT. They wanna get blown up so they can be martyrs, and I'll be damned if I give in to their frigging plans.
Mark is one of my good friends...the guy that rated on mark (his family member) is a p.o.s that should himself be in jail for child molestation and insest that likes to cause shit...yes, mark had those things in his car and he shouldn't have but they were NOT intended as a bomb threat or anyhthing of that sort. What all these websites and internet sources and papers say are completely blown out of porpotion.
