Fundie Quote: Pastor Wiley Drake

Speaking in reference to the 2006 appointment of Mark Dybul, Wiley Drake, a Pastor from my own city of Buena Park and official representative of the Southern Baptist Convention, commits the ultimate ignorance based gaff (OK, it may have been deliberate).

"I think it's a tragedy to have a sodomite living with another man and being the AIDS coordinator, because we all know that if we do away with sodomy we'd almost eradicate AIDS."

I apologize for the age of the quote. I was shocked to come across this and realize that the man who said it is the same asshat who dumps a couple dozen homeless drug addicts into my neighborhood each night to forage for living. I will have more about this odd little man later. Suffice it to say that in a city with low standards, Drake manages to lower the bar for everyone.

Oh yes, he has very low standards. The lowest of the low. If any of you only knew.

It's funny how the people with the least amount of knowlege trash a man that speaks the truth. Like it or not folks... It's the TRUTH!

Fecal Fundies like Drake are everywhere. They still haven't gotten out of the mindset of Southern Baptist Bailey Smith, whose most infamous comment was "God Almighty does not hear the prayers of a Jew."

And remember, "It's the TRUTH anonymous," the onslaught of the AIDS epidemic proved one thing: there were gays (and straights) who were much more compassionate than any righteously arrogant "Christian" and certainly more human than Southern Baptists:
Score:
Compassionate gays: 250
Southern Baptists: -300
