Sam Brownback is a religious man

...and he wears it on his sleeve. This alone should be enough to keep him out of office. Brownback call himself a Wilberforce Republican in an obvious attempt to pander to the religious right. His strategy must be to aggressively  show himself as more religious than any other candidate. He's going to have a hard time with all the fundie ass kissing that John McCain has under this belt.

If you don't know who Wilberforce is - think Amazing Grace.

The Kansas senator is running with the association. Two weeks ago, he introduced a bill to honor the British abolitionist, and today, he will participate in a panel discussion following a screening of “Amazing Grace” in Los Angeles.

Nothing says I want to be President more than riding on the coattails of somebody else's work.

Of all the GOP candidates, Brownback does appear to be the most genuine religious extremist. Kind of like when Pat Buchanan used to run.

I am developing lables in my head for some of the candidates:
the apostate for Obama
the pander man for McCain
Buy a vote for clinton
king fundie for Brownback
