Nutball Alert: Pastor David J. Meyer

J.K. Rowling's newest Harry Potter book, Deathly Hallows will be published on July 21. I have a news filter setup to catch Potter related news bits. One such item, Harry Pot Head from pure journalism offered up an old essay from Nutball pastor David J. Meyer called Harry Potter: What Does God Have To Say.

On July 8 at midnight, bookstores everywhere were stormed by millions of children to obtain the latest and fourth book of the series known as "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." These books were taken into homes everywhere with a real evil spirit following each copy to curse those homes. July 8th was also the 18th day (three sixes in numerology) from the witches’ sabat of midsummer. July 8th was also the 13th day from the signing of the United Religions Charter in San Francisco. Now we have learned that the public school system is planning to use the magic of Harry Potter in the classrooms making the public schools centers of witchcraft training.

I can only say that Meyer seems odd, and that I'm not sure he's plugged into the same God as others of his ilk. Read it for yourself. Afterward, visit the complete library of his tracts for more bizarre perspectives on occult penetration of popular culture.

And after you've read the tracts, you might consider listening to some of Pastor Meyer's audio sermons here:

Pastor Meyer is not a nutball at all. He is, in fact, preaching the Truth and the Truth is not well-received in today's world.

Mojoey said...

There is nothing about Meyer even remotely connected to the word truth.

David J Meyer is without doubt the only Christian pastor who I have ever heard in my 60 years preach the unadulteratred Word of God coming from an occultic childhood he is is totally spot on with his assessment of World affairs and their relationship to iniquity.(which The King James Bible describes as "The mystery of iniquity").He is therefore well placed to comment and has great spiritual discernment in these matters.
God Bless you David

I recently put a search into my music player for the harry potter soundtrack being a fan and owning a copy of each book. I saw the david myer recording and being curiuse had to listen. WOW, this guy is so full of himself, and gee i didnt know i was bieng brainwashed ..lol.. to believe i can read harry potter and do magic. It was hilarius to listen to this supposed ex occult person now being a preacher?. And so what if J.K. Rowlings knows a little about witchcraft! ANY good author studys up on what they are writing ABOUT! That doesnt mean she has made a deal with the DEVIL..lol.. to sell these books & make kids practice witchcraft. Maybe what she is trying to tell us all by Harry and Voldemort having a connection means we all have good and evil inside us, and it is up to the individual to decide what they think is right & wrong.

David is very interesting and a lot of what he says I agree with...the problem is when he has to put definition to things that I doubt he has a greater grasp on. You have to be careful when you find your own view on religion is the "right" one. He also is a gifted speaker which combined with his vast knowledge in the occult, conspiracies, the state of the economy. So, for me to listen to him...I will learn much but I will also have to dismiss other parts which I know are not true because of my own experiences.

I have a college degree in Religion, so I know a little bit about the subject. I find this man has to go to great lengths to stretch to where he wants to be. Nowhere is it taught that the number 666 is significant when added together to reach 18, and what possible significance can it be that a date is 18 days from anything? Jim Jones and David Karish used this same kind of preaching -- supposition, guessing, opinion and a little bit of truth -- to gather a following. Someone who mixes so much error with a little bit of truth has to be looked at with skepticism.

I don't really have an opinion on the matter of Pastor David J. Meyer, but I do on Atheism. Please consider my beliefs as I did yours. I'm not sure why you don't believe in God. But I am sure why I do. God is my reason to live, my reason to breathe. He's more real to me, than anything else in this world. Let me asure you, I'm not the only one who feels this way. Why do you deny my reason for existance? Believe what you wish, but have you ever wonder why you work so hard to deny God? Surely it can't be that you fear he is actually real. So why is it that you spend so much time calling people names and even being a part of an Atheist organization? Is laughing at a person's reason to live your purpose in life? I am no better than you, I never deserved any of the love I was given. But i will hold on to God's grace. I will hold on to my religon. My God encourages me to be a good person, My God shows me the real meaning of love. May God bless you and show you the never ending mercy He's shown me. Give Love a chance.

Mojoey said...

Anon - Why do you deny my reason for existance? I assume you mean existence. What I believe has nothing to do with you. I don't give a fuck what you believe.

Believe what you wish, but have you ever wonder why you work so hard to deny God? That's so nice. Believe what you wish and then BUT...

The real question is why do I dare to speak out as an atheist. Right? It is simple. The world is full of Christians who think I should believe/act/live like them. NO THANKS.

Mojoey, I see you got a "dollar's worth of fun on a nickel" with that post. I want to put my $.02 in. Everyone has an agenda, and some be trippin'. In regards to nutballs and Christianity, the Bible speaks of 'sound doctrine' as opposed to the doctrine of man or doctrine of devils. Some Christians including church leaders will 'editorialize' by using scripture or any other means to elevate their personal convictions or preferences to the authority of 'God's Word'. An example would be like raisins in a cake (a metaphor from an article by DJ Meyers) they avoid the whole counsel of God and instead use truth mixed with loaded words for emotion, illogical deductions, lies, etc. So if you sense something 'fishy' or as you might sense 'nutty' it probably is. One just needs a standard of measurement.

First let me start by saying that is so sad how far we have come as a nation. If you don't repent. And ask the Lord Jesus Christ to save you and Pastor Meyer is right. Are you willing to gamble your soul just to win the arguments?
I'm sorry no job or hobby or relationship is worth Hell.

I know Pastor Meyer and he is not a nutball. He is one in a million Preacher. Very hard to find. May God continue to bless him and keep him.

Oh and by the way not everyone that stands for thruth is an uneducated individual. I own three companies and I'm a retire police officer. Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ does not make you any lesser of a man. It makes you a free man no longer bound to sin.

May God open your heart to see.

Somebody said to "make that fat bastard work for a living". You apparently knew nothing about Pastor Meyer. His congregation was small...about 60 people. This fact goes to show that the truth of what he preached out of the Word of God is not well received. However, he reached out to millions in his newsletter and was respected.

I heard today that Pastor Meyer passed away. He will be sorely missed as he brought light from the Word of God into this dark, evil world.

John Collins said...

Here is some reality. Apparently truth is a blank canvas subjected to every interpretation and wind of doctrine.
I used to go to a nice church, friendly people, good times as defined from the bible with helpful ministries that reached out to the brokenhearted through prayer and fellowship in one accord until the pastor began receiving the lasttrumpetministry newsletters-no longer the bible but rants of personal conviction from the pulpit even read from D Meyer's newsletter directly. The pastor was very passionate of D Meyer's teachings. I believe with the late D. Meyer's tracts and sermons, he became legalistic and fell from receiving God's grace to earning it like JW, Mormons, etc. forbidding christmas, easter, using only KJV bibles, believing anyone sick is not in right standing w/ God, etc. He'd select the music for service, run all ministries. He wanted to please God with any and all. He became the 'HEAD' of the church, a micro-managing one man show not listening to any counsel unless it agreed with his and D Meyer's. Those of you into "truth" who is HEAD of the church? You will need a bible to answer according to ReA;ItY He had a clique to support his new commandments like 11, 12. 23. 46, etc. Not from the bible, just adamant convictions. I don't believe he meant to hurt anyone. I believe he wanted what was best for his flock. People left, one family after another. You think he was preaching 'truth' You may also believe the Holy Spirit is exclusive to one man and is a respecter of persons. if you want to ReAlLy answer correctly you'll need the bible. news flash the NASB, NIV also have the answers to these biblical questions. David Meyer's 'truths' are personal interpretations from the Bible conveniently twisted. I do not drink his koolaid- leaving the 'new wine' on the shelf (BiBlE)
It was obvious he lost touch with 'sound doctrine' when the fruit of the spirit are not evident do you call that anointed? God gave man free will. This man became judge and jury. God gave His only begotten son to redeem a lost and broken world. This man made his son head over a ministry and forbid him and his wife and children to make christmas cookies for a youth group as a gester of thanks because they run the risk of falling from God's grace and getting ill.
To find a counterfeit the US Mint trains the workers to identify a legitimate bill, not endless counterfeits. If you want to know biblical 'truth' what is the logical book to study?

Anonymous said...

If the said pastor turned "legalistic", it wasn't because of Pastor Meyer's teachings. Perhaps it was because of his interpretation of Pastor Meyer's teachings.

All a preacher can do is to prayerfully teach from God's Word. Many times a Pastor will insert his own convictions, but it is up to the people to go to God in prayer when they read or hear about somebody else's convictions.

Man has the tendency to polarize every issue here on earth...from religion to politics. What one man will call sin, another will see no harm. It is up to the individual soul to go to God in prayer for everything they do and get their own convictions.

I once heard an old pastor say that he wanted to live close enough to the post office to get his own mail. LIkewise, I want to live close enough to my Creator to know what is sin and what is not sin.

We cannot rely on anybody else to decide for us what is sin, but we should be close enough to the Creator to be able to discern for ourselves what is or is not sin to us.

What Pastor Meyer had to say about Christmas and Easter was not to deny anybody these "holidays", but to inform people about it's origins.

When I first read about the origins Christmas and Easter, I did extensive research on my own before I realized it was indeed a pagan tradition long before Jesus our Messiah walked this earth. I was not going to stop a tradition just because one man said so. I even went to pagan websites and studied what they had to say about it before I decided to stop pagan celebration. I did it because it became MY conviction, and not because somebody else told me to. I appreciate the knowledge Pastor Meyer passed down. However, my family does not shun or pass judgment on anybody who does celebrate these holidays. We are all on different spiritual levels and learn our whole life through until death.

John Collins, the pastor you spoke of took himself into apostasy because he misinterpreted another man's belief. The moment he became the "head" of his church, is the moment he quit acknowledging Christ as the head of "his" church.

That's the trouble with many Christians today, they are lazy. They do not want to study or pray to the Creator. They just coast along on what the Pastor says thinking it will get them into heaven.

The rambling and incoherent posts of the lost never cease to amaze me. They slander the truth and murder the faithful with their words of unbelief. Pastor Meyer was not perfect and he never said he was. His weight was likely related to diabetes or another chronic illness. How many FAT atheists do we have on earth, you hypocrites and den of vipers? Plenty. You won't be mocking for long because the day is soon coming when the Lord you hate will be very real to you as you stand before Him on Judgment Day. I have ZERO tolerance for any jesting about this man who was my friend and a TRUE MAN OF THE FAITH ONCE DELIVERED UNTO THE SAINTS. Who cares what you think...you are vessels of dishonor, tares to be thrown into the furnace and burned. David rightly divided the Word of truth. I am a fiery warrior believer like David was, but probably not as kind!

It's occured to me that the poster who said 'avada kadavra david' and then it didn't work did it? holds to clue to David J. Meyers death. Those strange words mean DEATH SPELL. I am sure during his ministry he received death threats, and the various hacked off occultists he exposed threw spells against him. Up until now, they only weakened his health but he always rebounded. This time, the Lord allowed it and brought him home, as no man can withstand the pressure of a ministry like David had for so long, The Wiccans hated him. Well kids, he's out but not down for the count. He's in Paradise.
And God is not finished with you yet, you whosoever sent this final spell. It comes back threefold, remember? This was revealed to me about an hour ago, that Meyer was cast against for the final time. It's a real spiritual war, and real soldiers take hits and sometimes die. But it will come back three-fold, remember?

1)Avada Kadavra spell was around before Harry Potter books revealed it 2) you are a hypocrite, I read your profile and you not only mention you are a Pisces but also your Chinese sign, the Ox. Therefore, you cannot be termed an atheist because you believe in astrology. No true atheist recognizes astrology as valid because it is predicated upon foretelling. Astrology is the clock of witchcraft. 3) Witchcraft is real, spirits are real, etc. 4) You must have been raised in the false religion of Catholicism where you developed a hatred for God.5) Meyer did not start a cult in 2007. The ministry started in 1974. Mostly everyone who read his newsletter never met him personally, but are far-flung worldwide. 6) Pastor Meyer was one of the last of the Mohicans when it comes to serving the Lord. 7) Pastor Meyer was without scandal in his life. 8)He believed in the dark forces, as they are real. How can you look at the world objectively and not see this? It is because you have been tucked into Satan's pocket, he owns you. 9) You are hiding something and/or fronting for another group. Bye.

Pastor David Meyer who passed away recently (june 8th 2010), was my pastor and I knew him personally for the last 3 years, and there are very few real, honest, kind, and giving men and especially pastors like he was. You sir who call him a nut job need to repent, you didn't even know the man, I hope I can be half the man he was before I die.

Michael J. Towne said...

If he was a nut (which is your opinion) then I want to be a nut also. Because Jesus said people would say you are nuts and crazy and the like for His name's sake.

Even when pastor meyer was sick and near death, he was caring more about what other people were going through, and just wanted to help others.

He was a far better man then the vast majority of other people.

Dear Bonnie Wood et al.,

A poem for thee!
I am sure that you know The Rule of Three?

Of course you do so just for you
I've asked my Father in Heaven above
Who is fire and justice as well as love

To take that Rule of Three
and change the backlash especially for thee
And to up the ante to The Rule of Seventy.

It is known what you did and He knows who you are

One that day you'll be running but not getting far.

I really can not believe that anyone would go so far as to think that any of the Harry Potter books were evil for any reason. I bet anyone who has said or thought this has watched or read any classic Disney movies or stories. Why weren't any of these put out there as evil? Almost all of them had some sort of magic in them. I also think that a great book like this is wonderful for children to grow and use thier imaginations. The only problem with any of these books is the people who have nothing better to do with thier time but complain about what other people are doing. Let whatever anyone choose to do or read be with them and God or whoever they worship or don't. As long as we are all good to one another who cares what or who they believe in. It is thier choice just as it is yours!

Well, I only found out that David J. Meyer died on Oct. 7th, because of this site. What, you mean, no more mean, insulting, woman-hating comments from him? I don't know if he is a "nutball" as this term is used to describe anyone that does not agree with you. I was about to report him for violation of Human Rights.. did you ever hear his nasty sermons that said things such as, "..here's double-ugly Ringo up there with a face that..only the Chamber of Commerce could love..". Or how about telling people whenever you see a female police officer, "Tell them...now look little lady, you ought to be at home baking cookies and making babies, PREFERABLY MALE BABIES.." Like, !What! Preferably male babies? If that isn't the worst Human Rights violation statement ever! Also, I was friends of this LTM and they didn't help me when I needed help. I never asked them for help before but then they don't even answer me, never mind help me, after all I did for their ministry. I used to get such ego-boosting thank you cards from Meyer that would say how my prayers & money "..mean so very much to me"! I posted a complaint on "TheSqueakyWheel.com" site and I got some people reply to me who used to go to his church but left because of the same things!

Anonymous said...

...and to continue here, I would not say that Meyer or LTM are NOT Christian, just very cold-hearted and I'm afraid others don't know him like some do. I will continue with the mean slanderings he had in his sermons. In his 3-DVD sermon "Why I Believe Jesus Is Coming Soon" he slandered that Satanic man ( I forget his name) who Meyer claimed died on a Halloween night due to Meyer's oh-so-super-duper prayer and said of this man "And he's one ugly customer..". Also he said of former Brigadier General Janice Karpinski, something like: This is a woman. Can you believe it? I KNOW SHE'S HARD TO LOOK AT! [Regarding her stealing perfume]..but that's like putting perfume on a pig..shows there's some mental illness..

But I must say, Mojoey, I believe that you are really not far from converting to a true Christian! I appreciate you posting things about the TRUTH about a lot of phoney money-grubbing, sex-abusing "Christians". I will pray for you that the true LOVE of Jesus will save you. God can save anyone. Even though LTM ignored me so much, this does not shake my faith in God one bit, in fact, have seen many miracles in the past 3 years. So sorry to see all those who get on here like they really know Meyer and who use the Bible as a WEAPON against those who are lost.

- I love how you have to try and scare people into religion. This is one of the many reasons why religion is corrupt and I do not partake in it.

Anonymous said...

To the anonymous man who has a degree in 'religion'....a big LOL on that. We can't study God; He studies us. And your 'experiences', real as they may seem, if they contradict the 1611 KJB revealed Word, they are just YOUR experiences and not turth.

And to the person who claims David violated human rights and was a money hungry liar; you are full of it. He freely distributed materials without cost.
Maybe he didn't help YOU, discerning that you were a wolf in the flock. He had super discernment and sought to rid the ministry of satanic infiltrators.
To whoever wrote the poem about the Rule of Three: BRILLIANT and He will hasten His Word to perform it!

A friend sent me an article on Harry Potter and witchcraft ... I thought the article made sense, but I've never been a witch so I could not verify the accuracy of his statements. Then I clicked on the link to the website and saw his rants on the Catholic Church in which he conveniently leaves out scripture which would show the basis of Catholic teaching on certain articles of faith, and uses others to try to destroy them. May God have mercy on his soul ... he may have thought he was doing God's will by saying what he said, but it was intellectually and scripturally dishonest, and totally offbase. There have sinful Catholics and clergy, who have put a blot on the Church by their sins and bad example, but a so called person of God who courageously seeks out the Truth will find that the Catholic Church was truly founded by Jesus Christ upon Peter and the Apostles, to whom He gave His very own authority to teach, rule/shepherd, and sanctify. They in turn appointed/ordained their successors to continue the Mission of the Church which Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, founded for the salvation of souls according to the will of God, the Father, and which He redeemed by His own blood, in His suffering, death and by His Resurrection from the dead. I know this to be true. As an agnostic, I myself had a near death experience which brought me into the presence of the Ever-living God, the source of all light, life and being, the source of all good, Truth, Justice, Love, Peace, Joy, true Happiness ... I experienced it all there, and when there you would want to be nowhere else ... the state of Perfect being ... and He uttered, ROARED, spoke His Name.
So no one can tell me there is no God, I know there is, I have met Him, and He is the source of all being. So to cut yourself off from Him is like putting a plastic bag over your head and suffocating yourself ... it makes no sense! It is irrational. You were made out of love, for love ... love according to God's definition, love that is wedded to truth, the truth of who God is and the truth of who man is, made in His image and likeness, and therefore to be treated with dignity, truth and charity. So Pastor Meyer may have had his good side, and may have been right about some things, but I guarantee you, from what I have read he was dead wrong about the Catholic Church, as the institution founded by Jesus Christ, a historically accurate statement, and about which He said the gates of hell would not prevail against it. Christ through the gift of His Holy Spirit, promised to lead the Church into all truth and to be with His Church until the end of time.

Hi and I wonder if it was my proof of Myer's slanderings and meanness that you were referring to.I have a tape cassette of what he said, don't tell me otherwise! I am NOT a wolf among you, are you saying that NOT helping someone when they are in need si right? Look who needs to give your head a spiritual shake! I am not a wolf, I am a Christian who can say I believe that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. Others who have gone to his church complained to me also online about him, too so don't say things you don't know about. Not helping someone in a time of need is NOT Christian!
