Feed the Muse: Ansel Adams at the Bowers

Ansel Adams: Classic Images opens February 18th and runs through May 13.  

75 images chosen by Adams as the finest examples of the quality and range of his photographic achievements, comes to Orange County for the first time on Feb. 18, 2007 as part of the grand opening of the new Dorothy and Donald Kennedy Wing of Bowers Museum.

Adams is a great photographer. I particularly like his Yosemite series. One in particular that features a distant ridge of mountains at dusk with the moon rising. Part of Adams' genius was choosing the moment. He understood light.
