Spelling error led to Cat Stevens mix-up

Well... We blew it. We have further insulted the Muslim world by deporting one its most notable moderate public speakers and humanitarians; all because we can't spell. I think we owe Yusuf Islam an apology; it would certainly help to have the apology be a public event. Perhaps it would best be delivered by President Bush, or maybe even John Ashcroft, or the both of them humbly together (if that’s possible). Of course, some state department flunky will issue a press release thinking the issue "covered", while the rest of the world laughs at our ineptness. Yea team!
