Youth pastor Jeffrey Mackinstosh sentenced

Youth pastor Jeffrey Mackintosh, profiled here,  was sentenced on a conviction for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy. He will serve 10 years in state prison, register as a sex offender and must undergo community supervision the rest of his life.

The investigation began July 5, 2012, after the victim, now an adult, contacted the Perth Amboy Police Department. The investigation determined that Mackintosh, while serving as youth pastor at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, repeatedly sexually assaulted the boy between Jan. 1, 2000, and Dec. 31, 2000. The investigation further showed that the sex assaults occurred in a private room in the church, then at 282 King St., Perth Amboy. The church since has relocated in Perth Amboy, and the building on King Street was demolished years ago.
