Pastor Otis Byrd murdered

Baptist Pastor Otis Byrd was found stabbed to death in his home.

Police were called to the home in the 600 block of Finley Avenue, where they found Byrd dead on the floor, Officer John Chafee with Atlanta police said. Byrd, who turned 50 this week, appeared to have been stabbed to death.

Pastor Byrd is the second pastor to be murdered in a week. He was pastor of God’s Anointed Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta. Police have no motive or suspects.
