Biship Amos was commenting on an internal investigation that cleared Rev. Robert Harnes, the pastor of Holy Family Church, of wrongdoing. He was accused of inappropriately touching a child in 1990.
The Diocese of Davenport used a private detective to investigation the allegations. Somehow, I do not feel confident that this was an independent investigation… Nothing to see here Catholics of Davenport. Move along, but keep you kids close.
