Did you hear Huell Howser died?

My wife asked me this questions when she walked in the door after work. My response was from the heart. "Ah hell… no fucking way." I loved Huell Howser. I loved his shows, his personality and his friendliness. I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but I'm sure he was a good guy. There is no way to fake what he brought to his viewers. R.I.P. Huel Howser.

The L.A Times does a much better talking about him. So does NPR.

I was walking in Larchmont Village and Hue Howeer walked by me with his little dog. Everybody said hi to him and greeted everyone a if he was hoi poloi. He was a gentlemen and a scholar. I and California will miss him and his shows terribly. He needs to be in the walk of fame.

Well said Jeff. I'll miss him too.
What a gentle man. Wish there were more of his type in the world. Learned many things about California and even visited some of them because of his show. A 'quality' individual for sure.
Me and my "too cool for you" friends have spent hours and hours watching California's Gold...when we should have been out at a hip bar talking about things that are only hip in other countries. RIP Huell.
