Are Dinosaurs offensive?

Crazy news out of New York. The New York City Department of Education wants to avoid offending children from the city’s standardized test. Dinosaurs was listed as one of the potentially offensive words.

"Dinosaurs" evoking unpleasant emotions? The New York Post speculated that the "dinosaurs" could "call to mind evolution, which might upset fundamentalists.”

We need people to wake up and start getting rid of people involved in education that view things this way. It is a sad state when you have to avoid a known fact because it might upset someone who wants to lie to themselves.
