8-year-old girl dies for her faith

I can barely write the words – an innocent 8-year-old girl has succumbed to abuse inflicted on her in the name of Christian cult. Christiana Glenn was almost rescued from her horrible fate by her loving godparents. Almost.

The mother, Venette Ovilde, has been charged with aggravated manslaughter in the death of the 8-year-old. She faces additional charges stemming from the alleged neglect of her two younger children, a 7-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy. The siblings, also suffering from broken bones and severe malnutrition, remained hospitalized Thursday, authorities said.

Christiana’s mother stopped caring for her. She fed the poor thing soup and crackers while denying her medical attention. The whole thing is a sickening example of the dangers of religion.

Emanyel Rezireksyon Kris is the source of all evil in this story. This poser changed his name from Andrew Wilkens before starting his cult inside the young girl’s apartment. Christiana never had a chance.

This is the horror of living and dying in submission to a god, one that you are too young to understand, but you're forced to give everything, including your life, for.

Unfortunately, this poor girl's legacy is after death; an example of the adage that religious indoctrination is indeed child abuse.

I hope the mother is punished for her earthly deeds and the pastor is deported for this disgrace.
These are hard stories to read, but thank you for shining light on them. Each is a contradiction of the common meme that religion is always good and all clergy saintly. It just isn't so. Someday, the undue respect that covers all things religious will be worn away and the courts will not handle these cases with unwarranted leniency. You're engaged in a noble pursuit, one ugly story at a time. Again, thank you.

That picture breaks my heart. It's amazing how people can find cause to laugh even in the worst of circumstances. But Christiana's life was no happier than it was long.
I wish Mojoey had his own prime time TV show so more people could be made aware of what is happening in churches all over the world.
