Pastor Joseph Spencer accused

JosephSpencerA Temecula area assistant pastor named Joseph Jermaine Spencer stands accused of rape, oral copulation, and penetration with a foreign object. There victim is a 16-year-old girl. Spencer directed the choir at Mountain View Community Church. The is no mention of Spencer or the abuse charge on the church’s website.
Spencer allegedly picked the victim up from her school and took her back to his apartment were the sexual assault occurred.
The two were lying on a bed watching television when Spencer started kissing the girl’s neck. He then started to undress her and kiss her body. She asked him to stop, but he continued, according to Haddad.
The man performed several sex acts on her as she told him to stop. He finally complied when she told him he was hurting her, Haddad wrote. “The victim was crying,” Haddad wrote in the declaration. “She told Spencer she wanted to leave.”
How is Spencer better than any other predator? If these charges are true, he knew what he was doing was wrong. He knew that it violated everything he believed in and cast his church and his religion in a bad light, yet he did it anyway. When does the magic morality of the bible kick in? After the crime maybe?

Absolutely heartbreaking. Do I believe she was "raped" Im not too sure. why would a 16 year old girl allow him to pick her up from school and go to his apartment...ok ok well why didnt the rape occur in the living room and instead of the bed?? why does she admit "laying" in bed with this grown man?? How did it get that far?? WOW. As a wife of a youth pastor I see first hand how young women are lets just say "impressed" with the youth pastor of thier church. I have been there. Brought it to my husbands attention as well as the Sr. pastor of our church. Overreaction? I dont think so. I done it to try to avoid a story like this about my husband in the news.

Are you really going to blame a 16 year old for the actions of an adult whose been given the power of one only second to the Pastor in the church. I know that you husband's calling is his calling and not yours but if you're going to make statements in which you place blame on a child instead of the adult whom, abused his power as a "man of God" then you probly should just leave the whole wife of a youth pastor out of the post. "Suffer not the little children?" And you ask the question "Do you believe she was raped?" The last time I checked the law, a 16 year old cannot conscent to sex with a 26 year old adult therefore, NO MATTER how you look at it...It was rape by law!!!

THIS IS SO MIND BLOWING TO ME, THE REASON BEING IS I NEVER METTHIS MAN, BUT I HEARD ABOUT HIM THREW MY GIRLFRIEND, AND MY GIRLFRIEND IS A MODEL, AND I REMEMBER HER MENTIONING DOING SOME MODELING WORK FOR HIM, SHE JUST TOLD ME HE WENT TO PRISON FOR RAPE.... AND IT KILLS ME INSIDE BECAUSE WHEN I READ THIS, I JUST THANK GOD THAT IT WASN'T MY GIRLFRIEND, MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE FAMILY THAT WAS EFFECTED BY THIS MAN. I CAN IMAGINE THE PAIN YOUR FEELING, BUT ALL I KNOW IS I COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN IN YOUR SHOES........... GOD PROTECT US FROM ALL EVIL...... LH

I met this individual before and I swear you never know what's really going on behind closed doors. He seemed nice enough, but there was always something I like to say when it comes down to people and there image, don't put anything past them. Everybody has their own issues that afflict them and you never know what it is and how to set it off. I JUST found this out today through a friend of mine that sang for him at some point in time. I knew there was a reason why I needed not to be in that choir. Thank God! And to the lady that thinks its OK to blame a young girl...and solely blame her for what happened, you're out of your ever loving mind! I remember what it was like to be 16. I knew better to do things like this, but I definitely had friends that did things for a number o different reasons with out a clue in the world as to what they were getting themselves into. This man took advantage of the situation and manipulated a young girl for own self gratification. Something tells he did it to boost his own sense of "self worth". You defending him is really you defending a culture of people are so engulfed in religion (not faith) that you will 100% ignore the facts of the matter and literally try to justify these types of action. I find it disturbing and rather shameful...

I had a friend attending this church and who also around this predictor. I tried several times to warn her about the false teachings that were given to her from the people of this church. The problem stems from many things but, first... not knowing who and what you are really around, and you not knowing the bible well enough to the teachings to actual truth and historical facts will lead you into believing everything you hear from any church leader. Which is completely naive. When you are involving children into this sort of situation it will end up disastrous.

I Personally know Joesph, he has been minister of music of my church for many years. (not the church where he was attending when he was arrested) And while we never know what is going on behind closed doors, He's far from a rapist. You have to understand that girls in the area are very permiscious.
They know well enough to know it is not approiate to go over to a grown mans house. Not saying that he was in the right at all, you just cant put the blame on him. We dont know what her mind frame was.
Just suggesting that both sides of the table be looked at before we attempt to cast him.

I have known Joseph since he was a youth. We have spent much time singing and dancing for "Our" Lord. He has personally spent time at my home, with my two daughters and husband. At that time I worked with sexual perpetrators who committed violent sexual crimes ages 7 to 14 of age..Being qualified to work amoung youths with those types of issues. I personally never saw red flags with Joseph. Being around my daughters, no matter who I always never under estimated anyone....However we are all borned into sin. Lets not forget. Let's admit our flesh is wicked. Jesus already died on the Cross for our sins. Lets not nail Joseph or the girl to the Cross I pray for them both Jus me...my opinio. Quinetta Cooper
