Youth Pastor Paul Lisowski convicted

PaulLisowskiPolice stopped former youth pastor Paul Lisowski from killing himself back when he was arrested only to see him become a tax burden with his conviction for lewd and lascivious battery on a child between the ages of 12 and 15. He’ll serve 10 years.

After his initial arrest, he was re-arrested for his continued online contact with the victim. Just prior to his arrest, as deputies closed in, Lisowski locked himself in his vehicle and stabbed himself in the neck multiple times.

He was taken to jail after his release from the hospital.

In addition to the prison term, Lisowski faces 60 months of sex offender probation upon his release. He had faced as much as 20 years in prison.

If he survives prison, I’m betting we see him re-offend.

"God is good all the time..."The victim's family grumbled upon hearing these words.

Lisowski was a youth pastor at Christ Community Church.

I'm not defending him, but the charges make it seem like he raped and stalked the girl. The truth is they thought they were in love, even though she was so young. He ended up talking to the police instead of the girl when her parents found out, and the police set up the meeting. He was going to run away with her. Since the girl is definitely prohibited from seeing him while she still lives with her parents, she'll probably move on. However, he won't "re-offend" by going after another underage girl.
