And it’s all wrapped up in Tea Party madness. When we mix religion with politics, the result is hate. It manifests as anti-Muslim hate in my own back yard recently.
And it manifests as anti-Muslim bullying in Washington D.C.
These video’s are hard to watch and they are embarrassing. I can’t help but feel the desire to protect my fellow Muslim Americans. I’m a hard core atheist, but I harbor no ill will towards religious people who practice their faith in peace (and without pushing their faith on me). There is no need for hate. We are Americans, and we are better than this.
