Youth pastor Lee Porter convicted

WilliamPorter Pastor William “Lee” Porter pleaded guilty to one charge and admitted performing a sexual act on a girl who was 17 years old.

The eight years handed down by Judge Randy Williams was the maximum amount of prison time that Porter could have received under a plea agreement with the Tippecanoe County prosecutor's office.

That will be followed by one year on community corrections -- some combination of work release, home detention and day reporting -- and three years on probation.

Another pastor bites the dust. At least he honest enough to admit his crime. But before you give him props, there is one small thing…

He was the teenager's former foster father. At the time, Porter also was her youth minister at Elmwood Church of Christ in Lafayette. He resigned from there following his arrest in November 2009.

Yep – he molested his foster daughter and now he’s going to prison for 10 years.
