The Candlelight is gone

30 My wife and I eloped in our youth to Las Vegas and got married at the Candlelight wedding chapel across from the Riviera hotel. We were too young to gamble, but the right age for marriage. That was 30 years ago this August. We’ve been happily married for a long time.

A few days ago we decided to do it again. We were going to revisit our youthful trip and get married all over again. Only… well, the Candlelight is no more. It closed in 2003. It’s still around as a museum. They moved it to Henderson. I feel ancient. It’s time for plan b.

Plan B – Go to Las Vegas anyway. Get drunk.

But, of course, atheists have no moral foundation and, therefore, no basis for maintaining a marriage. So, while you've managed to swim against the flow for 30 years, you're ultimately doomed to failure.

:-)

Seriously, though, congratulations!
