Youth Pastor Emile Boutin arrested

It looks like Roman Catholic youth pastor Rev. Emile Boutin was arrested for touching another man’s junk in a public park. The behavior is known as cruising. I’m thinking Boutin might be gay. Does that make him a bad youth pastor? I don’t think so. It does not matter now. His lack of impulse control has landed him in hot water.

The Rev. Emile Boutin, is a youth pastor at Blessed Sacrament in Walpole, Mass.

key word "accused". There are many people who saw him at the church the time he was supposidly doing this. This guy just looking for some money, and not caring about who he hurts in the process.

And lack of impulse control?? Do you even know him enough to accuse him of having a lack of impulse control or to call him gay?? You dont even know he really did it.
We are in America, Innocent until proven guilty, no?? And who is this guy accusing him? Where does he get his credability?
Get your facts straight before you start accusing people of shit like this.

It's simple really, lack of impulse control is associated with the behavior of cruising. If he was in the park, and if he tried to touch another man, then he's demonstrating a lack of impulse control because public sexual behavior is inherently risky. l. I did not call him gay, but if he is tried to engage in sex with another man in a public park, that would make him gay.

I honestly hope he did not do it, but I'm betting he did.

It is a common practice to blame the victim. Of course, you would need to suspend rational believe to think that the victim is out to get the priest or even trying to get money out of the deal. He's alleging a criminal act. He did not know the priest. He reported a license plate and a description. It sounds like you are defending a friend or your priest based on a believe that he can do no wrong. I'd look a little closer at the facts if I were you.
Ok so supposidly this happened at 8:30 in the morning if I heard correct? He says mass at 9:00. And several people saw him around the time this "happened". Unfortunatly they will probibly not be allowed to be witnesess because they are parishoners (which obviously makes then stupid lying sheep in your book) Also, how hard would it be to get his licence plate number if you were looking to set him up. I understand that there have been numerous sex abuse scandals in the catholic church, but that just makes it easier for some random guy to accuse anyone they want to. And wtf? This 21 year old man had some guy follow him into the woods and grab his junk? Why wouldnt you punch him in the fucking face? I know I would! Not trying to blame the "victim" or anything, but i just dont buy it.
and ps. It would be great to get an opinion from someone who isnt a raging atheist. (NOT that i have anything against atheists, just that the same way you believe catholics would be against the "victim", you are very obviously against the priest.)
Hebrews 13:5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for He has said, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you."

You certainly have some anger, Dromedary. I have a pregnant wife, two jobs, and am paying for school out the ass. I dont have an extra $75 to send to some guy I dont even know. If you want to say I'm a raging catholic, thats fine with me, I'll just bother the crap out of you and quote the bible. It seems that no matter what and Catholic says in this case, you will say the opposite.
I feel very sorry for you, and I hope that someday you find god, and that you can someday realize that not all catholic priests are dirty child molesters, but that the vast majority are good, honest men. If you ever decide to, the catholic church and I will welcome you with open arms.
(John 3:36)He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. Sorry for disturbing your wonderfully fufilling atheist life, wont be back to argue a neverending battle again! Best wishes bro, Peace! (Hope Father Mike will be in your prayers, he certainly will be in the prayers of countless others. I hope this whole mess will be over by the time my daughter or son is to be baptized)

Dromedary Hump, your ignorance makes me furious. First off, as they stated Father Mike was celebrating mass at the time this happened 15 minutes away (according to mapquest) on a Monday morning. Last time I checked, Monday morning has the heaviest traffic. There is no way he was even able to do this and the jury (if it even ends up going to trial) will find that to be the case. Second of all, mentioning anything about child molesting is ridiculous considering it was a "21" year old man that accused him of this. Calling Father Mike a "perv" could not be further off from the truth and you can go ahead and do your gambling with anyone opposed to your view on this one and you WILL lose. I can not wait until he is proven innocent and you swallow your own bs that you have been dishing out on this site. By the way, he has more supporters and non-beleivers than ignorant people like yourself automatically assuming he is guilty and speaking of child molesting (as if that has anything to do with this case at all!) FYI: children are those under the age of 18, not over.

A small point on the facts here: The crime occurred around 8:30. Mass occurred at 9:00. There was 15 minutes travel time involved. Unless I'm missing something, that's plenty of time for this to happen. It is also easy to assume that about 8:30 could mean 8:15 or 8:45. Both times still allow your priest to do mass.

Hump was not referring to the alledged victim. We now he is 21. So, if Hump is not referring to the victim, I think it could be inferred that he's talking about a hypothetical future victim based on the likelihood that a priest with impulse control issues my indeed try to satisfy his needs in other ways.
Also - I just checked the maps and routes myself. He had three possible routes. The shortest is 10 miles, the longest 12.7. He had the time to leave the park and make mass.

Actually, this so called victim stated that it happened between 8:30 and 8:45, so he would not have meant 8:15. Father Mike was completely dressed and ready to go and was speaking with people at the mass at 8:45, so again no there was no time. Priests do not show up at 9:00am on the dot to say mass. They have to be in their attire. He was speaking with parishioners prior so you can not be in two places at one time. Unless it includes both zero traffic on Monday mornings, I am not sure how your shortest route (10-12.7 miles) can be back up for your argument. But, do not worry as this will come out and you will see. Even though I stated I was furious, I believe I kept my comment appropriate however Dromedary Hump seems to constantly bash all Catholics without even knowing them. Why do you have such a hatred for Catholics? I certainly do not hate anyone of another religion or anyone that does not practice religion. That is there own beliefs and I would never force my own on others. Dromedary Hump, it seems as though you are trying to push people's buttons and get them to lash out at you. What kind of person does that make you?

As for Father Mike being my priest, he is not and as for conjugal visits, that is extremely rude to him and me. I wish you knew the circumstances but again because you have no clue who I am or how I know Father Mike, that comment is ignorant, pure ignorance. Jump to any conclusions you would like as I will not comment on this blog any further. I can not be around the presence of you Dromedary Hump and your extreme hatred. Regardless of the fact the Mojoey is backing you up; at least he is doing it in a tactful manner. I feel as though you want this accusation to be true so you can keep on arguing about it, I hope I am wrong about you because there is no person right in their head that would want something like this to be true.

People, we theoretically live in a country where we believe in, "Innocent until proven guilty," right? When hot button issues such as sex crimes and the like come out, emotions get involved and we sometimes jump to conclusions. Ok, so Fr. Mike - maybe he did, maybe he didn't. If he did, let the courts figure that out and then commentary can be made based on that outcome. If it turns out that he really *is* innocent... well, it's a lot of unjust accusations and mudslinging going on here. I know Fr. Mike personally and in my five years of knowing him, I can tell you that at very least, he deserves a fair investigation before people start calling "Perv Mike" - People are capable of lying and with those lies they can destroy lives. I think we should do our best to not be a part of that.

The kid's story appears to have some holes... But ALL judgment should be held til more facts are ascertained.
I hope that once the facts are out and he is exonerated, the media will print the apologies they owe this priest for dragging his name through the mud. If I were he, I would then file enough civil suits against this 21 year old to make his life a living hell. I would make it my new past time in life to destroy him, his family, and drive him over the edge.

Wow - just hate from a Christian. I did not see that coming.
Fr. Mike publicly spoke out against the corruption in the church 8 years ago. http://graphics.boston.com/globe/spotlight/abuse/...
Because of Fr. Mike's moral courage, something for which I pray daily, God's Rottweiler a.k.a. the Pope has tried to silence him. As Yvonne Abraham of the Globe wrote, "Benedict XVI has energy to go after liberation theologians but he clearly can't muster the same ruthlessness when it came to priests who raped children."

BTW if you want your arguments to be taken seriously be more careful with your orthography and syntax...

FR. Mike did not absolutely did not do what he is acused of. In findings he was setup from within. He was singled out due to his involvement with the resination of Card. Law.
