Youth pastor Jeff Wasley convicted

Youth pastor Jeffrey Alan Wasley or "Magic Jeff", or Jeff the kid loving magician, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography. He will spend 20 years in Federal prison and face the rest of his life on probation.

"This case is a sobering reminder that there are troubled and dangerous people in our community who will go to great lengths to gain sexual access to our children," U.S. Attorney Sally Yates said in a written statement released after Wasley pleaded guilty to one count of child pornography.

Pastor Wasley used to sneak in to public bathrooms with a video camera to secretly tape young boys peeing. His computers had tens of thousands of images of child porn, plus hundreds of videos he made himself. All of this on the side. His real calling was molesting children while performing magic tricks. the guy is a freak. He prompted one of my top ten rules: Never let you kids go to a public restroom alone, especially in cities with three or more Baptists churches or magical youth ministers.

This gives me chills and seriously creeps me out. One of the things I don't like about having boys.....past a certain age, I can't take them with me to the women's room anymore.

We send them in together, and tell them always use a stall, but still.....does that really protect them from a creep like this?? I hate that we live in a world where we even have to wonder about that....

I just don't trust anyone with my kids. I'm always watchful.
I never let my daughter use a public toilet alone. I even told her that at school she should always ask one of her classmates to come with her to the restroom. It is a good thing that she dislikes public toilets. She find it very uncomfortable to use them. One time we went home in the middle of the Winterfest celebration because my daughter had to pee. She couldn't t use the toilet seat in the portable bathroom because of its too big for her. Our toilet seats at home are all family seats. A family toilet seat is a two in one toilet seat that offers an adult size toilet seat and a child size toilet seat which makes it easy to use even for children.

It is the government's obligation to keep all public facilities safe and free from dangerous people. Public bathrooms should be safe both for adults and children.
