Youth Pastor Christopher Evans kills self

chrisEvans My condolences to the family and friends of former youth pastor Christopher Evans. He killed himself after pleading guilty to sexual battery charges.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Christopher Evans, 39, shot himself in the head at East Fork Lake State Park. Evans had been a youth pastor at the Saltair Church of Christ since November 2007.

He faced up to 50 years in prison. I guess he choose to commit another sin to escape the consequences of his first crime.

Yeah this man committed a crime but the girl that was apart of it was just as guilty. Yeah, he knew what he was doing. But i say thats his buisness. He wasnt mentally ill or disabled or watever. He helped alot of people in his life. He never asked for anything in return. I have lost alot of people in my family the last three years and he has been to every single funeral and been there for every single step our family has had to take. He has been there for alot of people. He was a very kind man. Yeah he made a stupid decision, but im sure the rest of you morons have to. You all act like your so fucking perfect. Im not saying it was ok to go sleep w an underage girl but she was ok with it and she knew what was happening and didnt say NO!!! So.... Try and look and look at all sides before you go and judge everything. Its still disgusting and watever but its no different than an 18 year old dating a 40 yr old. so shut the hell up. The only thing that was wrong with it as she wasnt legal. This man was a great guy. He helped my family so much. He was my cousins only father they had. and he took care of them. He has done some good things for alot of people. and some of you people on here didnt even know him, just the things you heard about him. so shut up and go watch some more news. This man was not a pedophile. Pedophilia is a psychiatric disorder in adults or late adolescents (persons age 16 and older) characterized by a primary or exclusive sexual interest in prepubescent children -- meaning children who have not yet reached puberty -- which for girls occurs at an average age of 10 1/2 years.

He must have left his sense and for a small girl that is adventurous, they both tested it. He should have forgiven himself and get back to God. Their alot still ahead.
