Spring is here

DSC_5531

I played disc golf with my my friend pastor Brad this morning. We played at 8:00 am. The sun was shining. It was warm and wonderful. I even saw a few flowers. That's it. I'm calling winter over. It's officially spring in Southern California.

We’ve had a lot of rain lately. The course at El Dorado Park was partially underwater. I’m inclined to use the water as an excuse for my poor play. it was bad. I stopped counting at 8 over.

Brad and I talked through our normal mix of issues. He is a devout Christian and pastor, I am an atheist. Yet we agree on many things. It’s funny really, I often think he would be a good voice on my team. I’m sure he feels the same way.

I love spring… and friends and disc golf.

I love the start of spring here in Seattle, but only when it starts in late March. Last weekend, I was checking out some of my favorite places in Seattle, where I go to look for eagles and falcons nest; I like watching birds of prey. But what I noticed was, there were bees, all type of bees flying around; but there were not any flowers yet.

The bees must have come out of their hibernation, because of the unusually warm Weather we’re having here in the North West. I kind of felt sorry for the little guys, because I realized they would all be dead soon, because there are no flowers and no nectar for them to eat.

Sad state of our planet!

poor bees... If these was a god they would not die in vain.
