Pastor Danny Barnes Convicted

DannyKwame I’m a little confused with story. Do they teach home invasion robbery, kidnapping and assault at seminary? Pastor Danny Kwami Barnes was convicted of these crimes and sentenced to 11 1/2 years in prison.

Authorities in Big Stone County also charged four others in connection with the June 22 home invasion in Beardsley, Minn. Barnes argued he did nothing wrong and said he was just trying to get his son-in-law into treatment for substance abuse.

Thy Kingdom Come is a church Barnes founded in Wheaton in 2004. It aims to reach substance abusers, but has been criticized by some community members who think the church has required too much police attention.

Pastor Danny Barnes did not go to seminary. His testimony follows:

I’m not sure what happened to Danny Barns. The next time we see him he will be an old man. If I’m still blogging then, I will ask him.

Every time I hear about one of these paranormal caused conversions to Christ “the swinging cross on the prison wall” I start wondering if these people are just that deluded, or if they make that bullshit up, out of thin air.

It seems like this guy started out with his heart in the right place, I wonder what went so wrong

Sad ending!
crazy deluded people will do and say crazy things, or make it up lol
I am married to a man from the small town that Danny Barnes comes from, and many of my in-laws that I visit frequently still live there. Danny Barnes is nothing but a two bit criminal trying to pull a "mob boss" persona out of the church in a small town. He's done nothing but bring drug addicts and criminals to the town, set them loose and didn't help them with their drug problems or lives of crime at all. He deserves to be in prison, and we all personally hope he dies in there.
I second Christine's comment. I too personally knew Danny when he lived in Colorado and hope he rots in prison....because he for is going to burn in hell!!

I meant "for sure is going to burn in hell!!" Maybe Dena will finally snap out of it...since all the beatings still have not made her realize. Some people never learn. Once a con always a con.....I feel sorry for their son.

I'm sure he will do poorly in prison. He's got bit written all over him now.
I too was once subject to his violence and emotional abuse, he is nothing but a false prophet and rather than destroy my faith in god meeting him has made it stronger I did not fall for his lies and apostacy and I thank god this false prophet has gotten what he deserves even if it is a bit light compared to what he will get in the future.
even the woman caught in adultery was granted forgiveness besides who did jesus die for he also died for people like u who are unwilling to forgive but to say send this man to hell is not up to us.pray for this man if you got the guts holy one
I am saddend as I read this stuff from you all condeming this man for attempting to save his"son in law". This is my father who I have much to say in regard to his past actions in life..As for this action perhaps law enforcement or the boys parents or this community should have intervened in some way that wouldve saved the boys life...had they heard the cries of the boy or my father perhaps he couldve refrained from using his own yes extreme but successful methods...As for my step mother she is grown and has been she is intellegent and capable of choice EVERY ADULT CHURCH MEMBER WAS AS WELL...and wheather I agree or disagree is irrelevant people adults choose and for whatever reason many choose him...so before throwing stones accept responsibility and demand accountability for the choices each person makes

oh one more thing my brother...he is just fine and will ALWAYS be. He is a strong young black man begining his journey into adulthood...he has so much to offer the world there is no need to pity him or have concern. He like all of the Barnes children will take his life exp. and use it to touch the lives of all he crosses paths with. See our family maybe dysfunctional and our childhood may have presented greater challenges than some but as a whole we are amazing and we approach the relationships we have with everything we have...sometimes outsiders approve and sometimes they dont but we give our ALL to doing what we honestly believe will help and touch those we cross paths with. Perhaps my father is viewed as nothing more than a criminal but despite his faults he is spending 11 1/2 years in prison because saving a loved one was more important than spending his life free. For once I can truly say im proud of him and thank god the young man was pulled from a house bound to be the death of him. He can now live his life as my father will spend the majority of his remaining days behind bars

Im not sure if this is Charity but i would bet it is.... You can praise our "father" all you want. I am sure you weren't proud of him when he was throwing ashtrays at your head and locking you in the closet for not cleaning the house. Danny is my "father" too, i say that in the loosest terms. He doesn't know how to be a father or a man of god. He has evil in his heart and i hope he doesn't get out alive. I don't think that it's people choosing him, He chooses them and the reason he does is because they are all weak minded and will fall under his control. I knew from the minute i heard and saw him, that he was not re-born as he said. He got too old to pimp and found himself a new hustle. The wrong one obviously. I don't think he has served that much time with all the other crimes he committed, including murder and whoring out my mother. I have a book he wrote about all of the criminal activities he had a hand in. I think i should publish it, let people know exactly who he is. take care Charity, may you and the rest of the barnes' break free of his control.

I forgot to comment on your statement that perhaps law enforcement, the boys parents, or the community should have intervened in some way?!? No one is in control of that boys life except him. Which means no one can force him to do something he is unwilling to do himself. Ever hear the phrase "Lead by example"? Well Danny sure has left us a great example to follow.
