Pastor Steve Hilman arrested

Steve_Hilman Pastor Steve Hilman likes to shot his gun. Unfortunately, he allegedly does so indiscriminately.

Carter County jail officials said Hilman was arrested on two counts of reckless endangerment on December 17th.  The Elizabethton Star reported Hilman fired a revolver at car parked in his nephew’s driveway.

Jail officials said Hilman was arrested again on December 29th.  The Johnson City Press reported Hilman nearly shot his nephew in the foot with a pistol.

Guns are not toys. In the hands of the ignorant, guns can kill. I would think a pastor would understand this. But then again, he is a Baptist.

This sounds like one of those guys that goes hunting and kills his fellow hunter because he thought he/she was a deer. My family gets together once or twice a year to shoot gun and everyone there is force to handle them safely. It can actually be a lot of fun shooting at that mean old skeets.

I'm quite sure the good pastor will tell you his right to own a gun and do with it as he pleases is his "God given right", as the leadership of the NRA so often say (much to my embarrasment as an NRA member).

Register clergy not guns.
