The hijacker is a Christian nutball?

How did I miss this story? Fanatical Pastor Charged in Mexican Plan Hijack. I knew about the hijacking, I just missed the whole, “God told me to warn the president of Mexico about an earthquake.

Jose Flores, 44, said he was acting on a divine revelation when he claimed to have a bomb on the AeroMexico flight from Cancun Wednesday -- forcing the pilots to circle Mexico City several times before landing there. Once the plane touched down, an hour long standoff ended when police raided the jet and freed the 110 passengers and crew members unharmed.

Flores sounds like the worst kind of religious nutball. A true Christian willing to kill for his blood thirsty god.

Fanaticism is in every type of belief system. It amazes me that people constantly fail to see this. I was talking to an ex US soldier at a socialist meeting and he could not fathom the concept of extremism in christian faith. His only argument for war was that these people we're fighting are extremists. Aren't we all.
Good call! I spotted this story too and tried to tie it into the Bible Code on my blog. It goes along with my main theme that the Bible is the most read and least understood piece of literature ever written. And the most dangerous.
