Now buy the clothing

NOTW

The stickers keep getting bigger, but the message is still the same. NOTW - you can tell we are Christians by the clothing we wear.

One thing (among many) I don't miss about my time as a Christian was the incredibly silly commercialism that abounded in the bookstores.

My "favorite" was Testamints. Mints & gum always sold up near the cash register - little Bible verses on the packages. The display even suggested "witnessing opportunities" for using them. I wondered back then, if witnessing were the real objective here, then couldn't the mints be given away instead of sold??

Apparently, the idea went out of favor -- I Googled "Testamints" and learned that they are supposedly "coming back," although it looks like they're no longer offered at the retail level.

I guess it just left a bad taste in some people's mouths...

That's hilarious. Thanks.
Not being of christian (NBOC?), I only recently understood what NOTW was referencing. . Same with the "Body piercing saved me" stickers.

Its a weird mixture of american fundamentalism and american commercialism. I think this is the only country where faith is a commodity.
