American Muslim beheads his wife

Not that I'm tracking Muslim hypocrisy or anything, I have my hands full with the Christians. When a man beheads his wife I tend to notice. But when a man who started a TV station to help change the way American's view Muslims beheads his wife, I figure it's headline worthy.

Orchard Park police are investigating a particularly gruesome killing, the beheading of a woman, after her husband — an influential member of the local Muslim community — reported her death to police Thursday.

Police identified the victim as Aasiya Z. Hassan, 37. Detectives have charged her husband, Muzzammil Hassan, 44, with second-degree murder.

"He came to the police station at 6:20 p.m. [Thursday] and told us that she was dead," Orchard Park Police Chief Andrew Benz said late this morning.

I will never understand what posses people to kill each other over religion, or custom, or some fucked up cultural belief. I can’t even begin to tell you have much I hate to hear the term “Honor Killing”.

I think we will have to wait to see if being a Muslim had anything to do with it. He is obviously unbalanced in some way. Maybe she just really, really pissed him off. ;) Still, awfully gruesome.

You must be kidding. Peolpe like you are sheep. Or lacking an education. I bet you voted for the muslim president too. If you were alive during the American Revolutionm, basing my therory on your pacimistic comment, you would have stayed in Europe.

Alex is correct: a man is innocent until proven guilty. Until we know all the details in the case, we can't say for sure the fact that he killed her because she was trying to divorce him for beating her as prescribed in the Quran, and beheaded her following the injunction in the Quran, had anything to do with it.
